That looks good.

I read the script for the equalizer and it was horrible. There's no way that movie's going to be good unless the director made some MAJOR changes to the script before shooting. But some scenes from the trailer look exactly as written in the script I read, so I'm not holding my breath that it's improved at all.

Denzel is better than this movie. And the equalizer could have been a great movie too. The source material is so interesting. They just made it into a dumbed-down action flick.

Anna Kendrick to Voice for DreamWorks Animation's TROLLS

Oscar and Tony Award nominee Anna Kendrick (mine!) has joined the cast of DreamWorks Animation's upcoming feature film Trolls, TheWrap has learned. Mike Mitchell will direct the musical comedy, while his Shrek Forever After collaborator Gina Shay will produce. 20th Century Fox will release Trolls on Nov. 4, 2016. Jared Leto to Replace Will Smith in Superhero Film BRILLIANCE

Jared Leto, who won the best supporting actor Oscar for his work in Dallas Buyers Club, may have found his next acting project. Sources tell THR the actor is in early talks to replace Will Smith in Brilliance, Legendary’s adaptation of the Marcus Sakey novel. Julius Onah is directing the project. Smith exited the project at the end of May, citing scheduling conflicts, as he'll star in Warner Bros’ Focus (set for release on Feb. 27) and recently became attached to Ridley Scott's NFL concussion movie.

Sakey's book takes place in a world where a rare set of people are born with extraordinary abilities and are called “brilliants.” While talks are still quite early on, if Leto decides to take on the role, he'll play a federal agent with great hunting gifts who is drafted to hunt down a terrorist, another such brilliant who intends to start a civil war. Noomi Rapace will also star in the film, which Universal will distribute under its first-look deal with Legendary.

Kevin Costner to Star in Director Ariel Vroman's CRIMINAL

Kevin Costner is in negotiations to star in Ariel Vroman’s Criminal, an interesting genre film with a character who’s part ruthless killer and part experimental brain-swapping subject. Variety reports that the crux of the story revolves around a ruthless killer who, rather than spend the rest of his life in jail, chooses to be used in a medical experiment in which the brain of a recently murdered field operative is implanted in his head.

In the last year, Costner has stayed busy mixing lighter material with darker, edgier projects. Costner followed his critically acclaimed performance in Man of Steel as Clark Kent’s father with two action-heavy roles in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit and Three Days to Kill and was most recently seen in the sports drama Draft Day. Costner still has the Mike Binder drama Black and White and the Disney sports pic McFarland set for release this year.

Adrien Brody, John Cusack Join Jackie Chan in DRAGON BLADE

John Cusack and Adrien Brody will star as Roman soldiers lost in ancient times in Hong Kong action star Jackie Chan’s latest project, the historical epic Dragon Blade. The movie has finished shooting at Hengdian World Studios and will soon start shooting on location in the historic city of Dunhuang and the Gobi Desert, Chan said at the Shanghai International Film Festival. Directed by Daniel Lee, Dragon Blade is inspired by a missing legion of Roman soldiers that traveled into China in 48 B.C.

The cast also includes South Korea's Choi Si-won, member of the K-pop band Super Junior, who has previously appeared in A Battle of Wits. Cusack will play Lucius, a Roman general who led a legion of 1,000 soldiers into Han Dynasty China. Brody will play Tiberius, who assassinated Rome's Consul Crassus and chased after Lucius with a force of 100,000 soldiers. Chan stars as the Commander of the Protectorate of the Western Regions, who teams up with Lucius to protect China's borders and sovereignty.

Tao Okamoto to Play Mercy Graves in BATMAN V SUPERMAN

ComicBook.com's source is verifying Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor will have long blonde hair and describes it as “a long straight surfer mop.” Luthor is described as “a slimy businessman we can all despise. You are going to hate this guy. You are going to root for him to be punched by Supes when he weasels his way out of legal trouble. He is cocky and confident because he is THAT good at what he does. He's a billionaire who knows he is more powerful than the Senator and Congressman visiting because he's a billionaire.”

Our source also indicated that Lex’s security force at LexCorp ranged from mall cop to SWAT force type security. In regards to LexCorp, our source indicated, “This is a high tech mega billion company with a shiny veneer. It's Apple/Google, colorful and consumer friendly public image but serious potential for Lex's deviousness.” The source also indicates the reports of Holly Hunter playing a U.S. Senator are accurate. Furthermore, Hunter’s character is visiting LexCorp with a congressman (played by an as of yet unidentified actor). In one scene, Lex has an interaction with the congressman, where Lex seems “to embarrass or be very disrespectful to the congressmen on his way out.”

In a piece of new information, Japanese actress Tao Okamoto is revealed to be playing Lex Luthor’s assistant, who is named “Mercy.” In the comic books and Superman animated series, Mercy Graves is Lex’s personal assistant and body guard, where she is portrayed as highly intelligent and experienced in hand-to-hand combat. Warner Bros. to Develop New Live-Action SCOOBY-DOO Movie

Warner Bros in the early stages of launching a new Scooby-Doo. The studio made a Raja Gosnell-directed live-action comedy out of the Hanna-Barbera cartoon that starred Freddie Prinze Jr, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Matthew Lillard, Linda Cardellini and Isla Fisher as the young sleuths. The film grossed $268 million worldwide, and Warner Bros and Gosnell made a sequel two years later. Now the studio is starting from scratch, setting Randall Green to craft a new adventure. There are no other attachments at the moment beyond original producer Charles Roven, who will produce this one for Atlas.

The property was born in a CBS cartoon entitled Scooby Doo: Where Are You? that ran from 1969 to 1975. From that point really until today, the franchise has, in one televised or feature-film format or another, been a part of the pop-culture landscape with a constancy that would make Batman jealous. The property has been rebooted on television so many times that you need to go the Wikipedia page and take notes in order to count them all. There have been countless direct-to-DVD animated features over the last decade and four animated television shows just since 2002, including the just-announced Be Cool, Scooby Doo!. There have also been four live-action films since 2002.

Colin Firth Will No Longer Provide the Voice of PADDINGTON

Paddington is losing his voice. Colin Firth, who was providing the impeccably polite tones of the stuffed bear in a red hat, has split with the film in the midst of production. "After a period of denial, we’ve chosen ‘conscious uncoupling,’" The King’s Speech Oscar-winner said in a statement to EW. It’s rare for an actor to leave a project this late, with a trailer for the December movie having already been released. But it’s not uncommon for voice actors to drop out periodically.

Firth said the decision to leave Paddington was a mutual one. “It’s been bittersweet to see this delightful creature take shape and come to the sad realization that he simply doesn’t have my voice,” the actor said. “I’ve had the joy of seeing most of the film and it’s going to be quite wonderful. I still feel rather protective of this bear and I’m pestering them all with suggestions for finding a voice worthy of him.”

The release date for Paddington hasn’t changed. Studiocanal still plans to have it in British theaters by Nov. 28, and The Weinstein Company has targeted Christmas Day for the U.S. debut. Director Paul King (The Mighty Boosh) has not selected a replacement voice, but says a new one will be announced in the coming weeks. Sources close to the movie say it is mostly finished, so re-recording new voice over work for the bear — while an unwelcome complication –won’t cause any disruption in the planned release.

Jon Spaihts to Script DOCTOR STRANGE; Jared Leto in Shortlist

Marvel Studios is negotiating with Jon Spaihts to write the script for Doctor Strange, the franchise-launching film which will be directed by Scott Derrickson. Spaihts is writing Universal’s The Mummy reboot as well as the New Regency alien invasion pic The Darkest Hour and The Black Hole. His script Passengers has Keanu Reeves attached and made the 2007 Black List, but he is probably best known in the genre crowd for being the first writer of Prometheus, which rebooted Ridley Scott’s Alien franchise.

Marvel hopes to get a script and put this one in production on a fast track. They have a short list of actors that includes Tom Hardy and Benedict Cumberbatch, and Deadline now hears that Dallas Buyers Club star Jared Leto is also on that list. The first draft of the Doctor Strange script was penned by Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer.

Doctor Strange was hatched by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko during that Marvel Comics heyday of the early 1960s. He’s a neurosurgeon who becomes Sorcerer Supreme, protecting Earth against magical and mystical threats with powers of sorcery, mysticism, and martial arts.

Ice Cube's Son to Play Rapper in STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON

Ice Cube and director F. Gary Gray have cast the iconic rapper's son O'Shea Jackson Jr. to play the original N.W.A. member in Universal's biopic Straight Outta Compton, multiple individuals familiar with the long-gestating project have told TheWrap. Gray (The Italian Job) is directing from a script by Jonathan Herman, which Ice Cube has previously described as a comprehensive “dramatic story that encompasses hip-hop, dope-dealing, Reaganomics, AIDS, LAPD, rap feuds, FBI, PMRC, the Parental Advisory stickers on the records… all of it.”

As a producer, Ice Cube had a responsibility to audition multiple candidates, from authentic rappers to professional actors. According to several sources, Ice Cube convinced Universal executives that despite his lack of acting experience, O'Shea Jr. could handle the pressure and was up for the challenge. Eazy-E's son has also been lobbying for a role but TheWrap hears that an unknown actor is poised to win the part.

20th Century Fox has released the final trailer for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Universal Has Pushed Back THE BOURNE LEGACY Sequel to 2016

The next chapter in the Bourne spy film film franchise has been pushed back one year from Aug. 14, 2015, to Friday, July 15, 2016. Justin Lin is directing the fifth installment, which sees the return of Jeremy Renner in the lead role of Aaron Cross. According to insiders, the move was made so that the August 2014 date could be used for Straight Outta Compton, the upcoming film about the rise and fall ofgangsta rap pioneers N.W.A.

Frank Marshall is producing the untitled Bourne sequel alongside Jeffrey Weiner and Ben Smith for Captivate Entertainment. Lin will also produce for his Perfect Storm Entertainment. Bourne's delay doesn't leave Universal bereft of 2015 spring and summer tentpoles. Fast & Furious 7 debuts April 10, followed by summer entries Jurassic World (June 12), Ted 2 (June 26) and Minions (July 10). On its new date of July 15, 2016, the Bourne film will face off against Ice Age 5.

New Details on Quinjet, Ultron, Vision, More for AGE OF ULTRON

• According to Kevin Feige, the new Avengers Tower is the largest ever for a Marvel film, featuring a large landing platform and garage for the new Quinjet within a large space that is full of windows, screens, and "techno stuff" but "really chic" with a lab directly in the middle where Stark and Banner work together.
  
  
• There will be a party or celebratory scene that will take place early in the film, which we've heard rumors of already and is said to be "Stark style" in nature, meaning excessive and over-the-top (Iron Man 2, anyone?)
  
  
• The Quinjet redesign features more chairs to accommodate all Avengers, much like the X-Men's Blackbird. The overall design is less military and more sleek with a bigger array of weaponry.
  
  
• Black Widow's costume update will feature not only the previously reported batons, but her suit is said to be more TRON-style in nature with blue lights and electricity around the suit. Her enemies will now receive electric shocks or a widow's sting when she hits them, giving her more of a superhero edge amongst her super-powered counterparts.
  
  
• More corroboration about Hulk's extendable pants (dark purple in color) that expand and shrink with his Hulk/Banner transitions and will also feature the Avengers "A" logo on it that adorns all new costumes for the team.
  
  
• Ultron will have an army of drones that are similar in appearance to himself, minus the glowing red "energy" effect.
  
  
• Similar to other reports, The Vision will be 100 percent Paul Bettany with his face and body all in metallic form, very shiny with gold, red, and green (as well as the yellow cape).

New Details on Scott Lang, Main Villain and More in ANT-MAN

Story begins with Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) being a thief and single dad who has fallen on hard times and one day breaks into Hank Pym's apartment and steals the Ant-Man suit. The main villain's name is Darren Cross who, in the comics, runs Cross Technological Enterprises, a competitor company for Stark Industries and Oscorp. His cousin is the villain known as Crossfire. It's unknown if this role will be played by Patrick Wilson or Corey Stoll. He will have a suit with a similar feel to Ant-man's but more military style, yellow and black in color (Yellowjacket?), and with a tendril-looking apparatus coming off it's back (like with Agent Venom).

The Ant-Man suit will be much more elaborate than we've seen so far with the helmet being able to open and close much like Iron Man and an assortment of red lights all over the suit, again in TRON fashion. The helmet eyes will also glow red when closed. It's said to be a much more complex and futuristic suit than we've seen so far. Ants are the main allies and superpower for Ant-Man in the film. Lang will speak to the ants via his helmet, just like in the comics, which is said to be a special element to the overall story.
