Well, it probably is, unless you are limiting it to AMERICAN wrestlers. Even then, its a tough call--the history of MMA is lined with wrestlers.

Another guy that just came to mind is Chris Tuchscherer. He was a DIV 2 guy that's now undefeated at heavyweight [*although, he had a fight with Josh Hendricks where he got whooped on ... that is until Josh failed the commissions' tests.*] The FF says that he's 7-0 in pro bouts, and he's something like 5-0 in amateur bouts. I'm not 100% sure, but I think he just beat Kerry Shall up in The Xtreme Fighting North organization.. And while that isn't a huge win, it certainly could help set him up for some big opportunities.

obscure. well done. I know little aobut DI and DIII, but i coudlnt name 1 guy in DII.

Actually, Hendricks put a huge beating on Chris. He ended the fight with a TKO in the first round. The commission took the win from him due to a test failure. Josh is a great guy and a friend of mine. You'll see him in the big show soon, I believe.

best waste of talent ever was Carlton Haselrig. I think 6 time NCAA cahamp 3 at DI and 3 at DII also a afc PRO Bowler as a right guard with the Steelers... Played with the Jets, then had Drug Problems,,,,,look him up could have been a MMA monster

back in the day.... if you won DII you were invited to wrestle in the DI tourney.

man, as I guy that is an old timer, I love guys like you. One piece of advice (works great with chicks LOL). wrestlers get called Cocky or Arogant... Not true...it is called CONFIDENCE

if you ever have any wrestling history question...message me. I have a lot of friends from the 80's and 90's that were big time.... I on the other hand wrestled juco for a year then quit.
I was supposed to wrestle 190 and by the time the year was done i could not make Heavy. I found my love for beer and fat chicks that freashman year.
