MMA wrestlers

Has anyone heard anything about Coleman Scott perhaps going into MMA after his collegiate career is over? I know he's just a junior now, but damn I'm a big fan of his...from the same high school as Koscheck too

"Wow, and most of them are UFC fighters or underachieving Pride guys.

If you guys don't see how the UFC rules benefit American wrestlers and not a Mixed Martial Artist, I don't know what to say to you."

lol All I have to say is: Every forum needs a few ignorant know-it-alls.

Actually no, in college and high school all-american means you were a place winner at nationals - college has DI, II, III, NJCAA and NAIA all-americans high school has NHSCA and then I think they are even calling cadet and junior national place winners all-americans now...

Although there is also Academic All-American which is for student athletes who maintain certain grades whilst in college...
yes they are because i placed 5th at the freestyle nationals and i have my national placing lol

The guy made almost 200k being a wrestling coach this year. Thats aside from his camps, personal appearances, and he gets a free car. Not a bad deal. Mo can win us a medal though.

Yea not a bad deal at all, isnt Mo up at 211 now, should be interesting to see how he does at the heavier weight.

I personally think Tolly Thompson will pwn Konrad

I think it would be closer than you think, on the feet Konrad can hang with anyone. As of right now id give Thompson the advantage because of his experience, but in a few years after Konrad develops his par terre skills (top and bottom) it will be a very close matchup.

I think Tolly might be able to eventually wear him down and then start rolling off the points .. However, it's Konrad's strong greco work that sets him apart from most other freestylers. His upper body work is very hard to deal with early on .. but we'll have to wait and see if he can go hard for an entire match, or gets worn down when finally wrestling someone as big, or bigger than he is [and one that's very experienced, and talented as well].

konrad's greco is amazing.

what are tolly's recent accomplishments? i know hes 3 time all american and a champion, but what has he done on the international level?

Anymore i think that Greco gets as much pub as freestyle and Konrad could be a star in greco.

Yea man Tolly is basically our number one heavyweight right now, Konrad is still suspect at thist point. Konrad has huge potential regardless of the style he chooses to enter, but at this point he still is just a number in a line of top heavies.
