he told me about that. that is so incredible. do u know how he did in his other years? i guess i could just ask him
He sucked, he is a crappy wrestler and a worse fighter. But I hear other guys say he's a hell of a kisser.

Is that what goes on in the Hawkeye locker room? No wonder Mocco left.

haha. i wonder if self flaming can get u banned...

if ur a crappy wrestler that makes 99% of wrestlers really really crappy (that was an attempt at getting u to kiss me)

OK here goes ... there's a whole group of very good wrestlers coming into MMA now that the $$ is coming up from the penny ante shit it was in the past.

Cain was mentioned before, but he's definitely a beast ... and worth yet another mention. He killed Jesse Fujarczyk in StrikeForce, and also had Constant rolling and diving away out of desperation in the Bodogfight tourney. It's too bad he broke his hand in the latter fight .. otherwise he'd be set to completely tool Zentsov on the next Bodog PPV card.

Kellan Fluckiger is yet another beast of a heavyweight from ASU ... This guy should be extremely good too, as he's doing some small time boxing/toughman stuff to get him battle ready with the stand up portion of MMA ... And, word has it [this is rumor, as I was told nothing] that he absolutely murdered Miodrag Petkovich in the last Bodogfight Costa Rica [shot for seasons 3 and 4]. Miodrag isn't a world beater by any means, however.. to be rumored to have completely walked through him in your pro debut is definitely impressive to me.

Ryan Bader is another ASU product, and yet another guy that had an ultra aggressive wrestling style that should work very, very well for MMA. Look him up on youtube ... you'll see just a small example of how athletic this guy truly is. He'll be fighting at 205.

CB Dollaway .. again, type in that name on youtube, and you'll see why this massive influx of high level athletes coming into MMA from wrestling will change the face of the sport for years to come. He'll be in there at 185.

Gray Maynard was also mentioned earlier, and yep ... he's yet another guy that should make a big impact in the sport [at 155].

Matt Grice reminds me a lot of Crunk, only stronger, has at least as good of wrestling, and a wide open, brawling style with extremely heavy hands at 155. IMO he'll kill Etim [unless he takes Terry down and gets sloppy from guard] at UFC 70. Anyway, he's yet another one to keep an eye on.

Mike Massenzio looks really solid at 185 .. although he never quite lived up to his full potential in wrestling [he was very highly touted out of HS, yet never was recruited by a major school and wound up doing both DIV II and JC instead], he does look to have good sub defense, and also stays very active from guard [not a lay and prayer at all].

Nic Fekete is also interested in MMA at some point, and he's #4 nationally at 211.5 right now. Keep an eye out for him some day in the near future.

I'll think of more later guys...

Mr Karelin would've done alot of damage in MMA!!

Mr Kareline in his prime would've pwned anyone in mma!!

Why would you "intentionally" leave off Rulon Gardner? Did he not fight and more importantly WIN in Pride? Sure, it was one fight...but he does have an MMA record now doesn't he?

hes listed in the thread somwhere anyways. it doesnt really matter

Shane Carwin: http://www.wrestlinghalloffame.org/champions/?names&wrestler=2520

I actually just met the guy at a GNC in Fort Collins....he's a beast. He was apparantly a 3x Division II All-American and 3x finalist. He's a SHW fighting out of Waterman's Team Impact, who's 5-0 with only one fight bearly breaking the 2 min. mark; but he's been in the small shows and hasn't really fought solid competition. He's apparantly a hell of an athlete, though...a 2x Division II All-American linebacker, played in the Senior Bowl, and was projected to go in the 5th round (never made it though).
