MMA Vet Joe Doerksen officially retires

    Probably best known for his 9 fights with the UFC, he's a 14 year veteran of the sport and he put on some great fights, and damn with 51 wins, 35 were by submission. Also nice to see a guy go out on a nice win streak.

    Glad he got to go out and a winning streak. Probably could have got a WSOF/Bellator shot, maybe even UFC with a few more wins.

    It's nice when I guy calls it quits on his own terms.

    Always put on a show.

    I can't say that I'll miss him because I haven't seen him fight in years, but 5-10 years ago I was a fairly big fan of his.

    I still remember watching Kang vs. Doerksen for the first time. It's sloppy as hell compared to now, but at the time it was pretty epic,
