MMA themed stand up comedy set by Adam Hunter

Watched about the first 5 - 10 minutes.
So it's sort of comedy ... demented and sad, but comedy.

I watched it, and really liked it.

Unfortunately the crowd obviously wasn't into it because you have to be a pretty hardcore MMA fan to get all the references.

It would have been perfect if he could have done that set infront of a UFC Expo with all of the fans and fighters there. Sounds like he got a crowd that everyone said 'Oh sure, I've seen a few MMA fights.'

It was hit or miss I mean I laughed once or twice, For those people saying the crowd sucked and didn't get the MMA jokes... this was at the UFC apex in front of a lot of fighters etc that were there for an event.... I watched it originally on Fight Pass and who ever edited it put the worse canned in laughter during the later part of the show.

I just did a quick check

“Most of the time I do standup comedy there’s definitely a lot of MMA fans, but it isn’t a predominantly MMA audience, so a lot of references people don’t really get because the average person may not know who Carla Esparza is,” Hunter said. “The average fight fan obviously knows who she is. So it was really good to have a forum where people would get all the references.”

I think the fans would be more excited by some Dana White stand up comedy

Not bad. He's not worried about being PC which is awesome. Not everything landed, but there were still some good ones in there. I think that's going to happen when he paces his jokes like Rodney Dangerfield's zinger style though. I'm no expert on comedy, but that seems like a tough approach.

Hes better on twitter with his jokes or if he does an online mma show like Adam Schulz MMA themed.

I watched that and thought it wasn’t that bad. I’ve never seen MMA comedy so it made me smile. Maybe I’m in a good mood...which is doubtful, bored as fuck. Thanks for posting TS, I may be the only one but I thought that was alright.

I'm still unconvinced.

I even laughed at the jokes that got NO reaction from the audience.

That said, I'm a big fan of Adam Hunter and even conversed with him on twitter a few times.

Weird for him to do a routine with so many MMA references the average person wouldn't get.

I saw an add for this while watching an event and I almost just straight up churned it off .
