The current climate from the mma media is to quote barely famous comics like Joey Diaz, or former fighters looking to build their brand like Brendan Schaub. About borderline nonsense, pc stories to get hits on their websites. They Screen grab Connor McGregor and Nate Diaz Twitter and Instagram posts and they write "sports news" articles about them. As if they have a solid sound bite or fight announcement to create a story around.
What the hecks going on here. Can the media stay relevant to the MMA scene or are we starting to watch TMZ MMA? They're barely talking about upcoming fights because they're too busy talking about headlines that might get hits. "Breaking news Mike Perry broke up with his cornerman" who cares anymore? That's the least important information I've ever had. Why do I know that? I don't care about their relationships. Somethings wrong here.
