So it seems everyone is upset that Brock is back and getting a title shot. Deserving of a title shot ? No, I’ll agree but what everyone is missing is that Brock/Connor/punk/Honda/ etc sells tickets. Big names that the average joe flipping channels recognizes, and That alone will keep our sport rising. Average people could care less about fights that they aren’t emotionally invested in. Everyone seems to forget about Japanese mma, once the prize gem of mma and now basically forgotten. MMA was a fad there and if people don’t learn to accept money fights, freak shows, and mainstream fights the sport will be a fad here also.

That is exactly what KILLS the sport, not save it.
Short term profit while taking any credibility from a sport who should have clear rules that applies for everyone, like all these undeserving title shots just because someone is famous....or different suspension for different people based on popularity... for example: some fighter (i.e. Riddle) fired for smoking pot while others (dias Bro) get suspension... and others (jon) can even do coke that they get absolutely no penalty, no suspension, nothing!
Some fighter (Daley) throw a weak jab (after the bell) at another fighter, gets banned from the UFC. Others (i.e. GDR) become champion (and then forfeit the belt while ducking the top contender) ...and others (let's see if you can guess) can even throw a dolly at a bus and cause seriously injuries to multiple fighters, and there's absolutely no talks of repercussions... matter of fact, they are in talks for a fight even though said fighter still has to be sentenced by the police/state of NY... And I will stop here, but there are others like domestic abuse that gets suspended for domestic abuse allegations (AJ) while others can brag about it (Rosey) and nothing happens to her...

they sell" is absolutely CRAP that DESTROYS the sport.
Don't forget that the sport exploded when two fighters (GSP & Silva) dominated their divisions with no trash talk. Nothing but respect and skills. (and before them, paving the way was Fedor, Nog & Cro Cop).
Now? Now we get dumbasses like Colby... because "it sells".
Keep it up, and you are right... the sport will be nothing but a fad.
