Told the casuals to rewatch Khabib and himself vs Tibau and see the difference. Argued that even though it was pre USADA, Khabib's technique was sloppy. Also said that Khabib struggled to take Barboza down whilst he managed it with ease.

Surely he realises that Khabib is a much better fighter 6 years on and that MMA math doesn't work? I'm not trying to bash on Tony by any means, it's just a weird argument to justify how he's going to win.

Also said that Conor declined a fight and he has no idea what's happening with the belt, as long as he gets paid and has a game opponent he's cool.

Oh Tony
I love you

But you're an idiot

Lol pure cope. Tony's only "takedown" on Barboza was that weird iminari roll where he landed an illegal upkick minutes after, changing the whole dynamics of the fight. In fact Fightmetric scored 2 takedowns for Barboza and zero or Tony

I really like Ferguson but he's wrong in that Khabib had issues taking Barboza down. That looked as effortless as it could in my eyes.

Or we can rewatch his fight against Michael Johnson and then watch Khabib's fight against MJ. See how that works?

Don't know wtf he's on about saying Khabib struggled to take down Barboza either.

I think not giving your opponent credit where it's due is one of the worst things you can do in MMA especially when you're at the top of the division. I think it would be better to recognize your opponents strengths and figure out a way to deal with them and not pretend they're not as good as yourself. Oh well maybe this is just the shit he needs to tell himself to get the confidence and motivation.

Both guys are really talented fighters, and both are very mentally strong. It should be a fantastic fight and I for one don’t need any of this new-age Kardashian Twitter bullshit to get me hyped.

How would he compare himself fighting MJ and how Khabib fought MJ then?

Nope watch the fight again.

I refuse to listen to Tony, he is a dork who tries wwwwwaaaaaayyy too hard to be a pro wrestler. Being s dork is fine but just be yourself.

Also the fight against RDA dramatically changed after the eye poke.

Im a big Tony fan but he's obviously delusional as fuck, and maybe that trait made him a great fighter.

Ferg is the worst matchup for Khabib, let him think whatever he wants. Khabib is the one going into this fight that is abit delusional, he really feels he will take ferg down at will and have no issues on the ground, ughh, who the hell at AKA even has good bjj? Khabib needs to fly in high level bjj guys for this fight or else huge mistake & Ferg better bring in Askren.

Comparative perfomances does not equal MMA math.

MMA math is: A>B, B>C, so therefore A>C.
Yeah, you are right.

Let me rephrase. Ferg should know better than to bring up comparative perfomances considering that Khabib mauled and finished a guy that beat him. And that really doesn't mean a damn thing anyway because styles make fights.

Tony is not smart.

IMO he's highly overrated. He getting smashed by Kevin Lee, until Lee gassed.

Khabib fought Tibau nearly 6 years ago before he joined AKA. And he didn't struggle to take Edson down. He just didn't finish the first TD in his chain, which he rarely does. As I recall Tony only took Edson down with an imanari roll while Edson got him down twice. Tony fought a much worse version of Tibau and Edson.

Besides Tony is nothing like Tibau so the comparison is meaningless.

I've always said this fight is 50/50 but what Tony is saying is just dumb.

how did fightmetrics score zero takedowns for tony and if they did why would you quote such an obviously false stat?

also lol at the illegal upkick changing the whole dynamics of the fight. Tony took edson down 24 seconds into the fight ant the illegal upkick, which was more of a push, landed 85 seconds into the fight which up to that point was almost entitely a grappling match with tony trying to grab onto edsons leg and edson defending. I swear people act like they were standing and banging or that the upkick happend deep into the fight when they bring it up.
