Seriously....

Is this the lowest point since i can remember or is this just me losing interest? Am I the only one?

I dont even feel compelled to come here to the forum lately. There is literally nothing happening.
No really interesting fights, no news, no feuds... The most exiting thing that happened recently as far as i can remember was the jones hearing ...

I cant see it as me losing interest, as it has always been a constant in my life. I cant even remember a time where i didnt follow mma closely.

It seems like this is about to change with the upcoming khabib vs tony and the subsequent events but who knows. It could be a one off and then back to this sea of nothingness.

Even helwani commented in his show this week that its almost like mma fighting is covering pro wrestling and boxing more than mma.

what the ****?!

UFC IS DYING

If Conor wanted to fight and Jones didn't fuck up it would still be good

The effect of midget fighting

Ditch wrestling then.

You get 1 minute to submit or GNP your opponent, if you don't fight's back on feet.

I bet things will get better in less than a year. Sadly we're way too deep to turn things around by any means in less than a year.

223 will hopefully end the drought and bring back some excitement for you man, I get you though. 3 Weeks without any MMA Cards can feel like months without anything exciting going on especially in this sport where we are used to weekly cards.

It's the same for me, nothing interesting has been going on and I haven't felt compelled to really post much. I've been lurking as of late, looking at threads here and there but I agree it's been a pretty slow couple of weeks for MMA aside from a few new Fight Announcements.

Once fight week roles around things should heat up.

The Lightweight Division is about to get interesting in the next few weeks, Khabib/Tony, Poirier/Gaethje Lee/Barboza. Patience Sherbro, 223 is almost here.

I don't think the rule set is the problem. There aren't too many stars left which means there aren't too many match-ups to get pumped about.

It is true.
  • Too many fighters that dilute the talent pool.
  • Champions not wanting to fight for a million different reasons.
  • Non-champions sitting out till they get a title fight.
  • All the prima donna BS with grown men bickering over twitter.

I agree the spamming of WMMA is a pain to endure.

But hey, Khabib v. Ferguson is finally happening, and DC v. Stipe is coming up as well.

All is not lost.

It's not you, it's (W)ME.

Throw your reebook and affliction shirts in the pile with your fidget spinners and pokemon cards.

See ya

Pretty much agree. I haven't felt compelled to watch an event in years. And there's very few matchups lately that I even care about, or they have some manufactured generic hype to them.

No Conor, No Ronda, No Jones, No Brock, No fun
no chuck, no andy, no wand, no ubereem, no trtitor, no bj, no page

<DCrying>

How about u go on an fuck off sherdog then u peice of shit u think I need a stupid fuckwitt like u telling me and mma about looking good and being entertaining? Who the fook are you take ur worthless advice and get the fuck outta here

I feel the same way pretty much TS.
I will watch Khabib vs Tony then I might take a break for a while.

I don't like the "money" fights and such.
I think while it might be a very good way to earn money short term, it's having negative effects now turning off people from the sport that likes MMA more as a sport, and also making fighters act silly to sell fights and others to hold out for "money" fights.
Also I think USADA is having a negative effect on how often fighters can fight and the action in some of the fights.
+ WMMA is bad. There are maybe 5 good WMMA fighters.
