Hey guys i have been doing muay thai for long time years i've just started nogi bjj for my dojo gi and bjj together in open mate bjj guys is better than me :( my instructer insist to start gi bjj too what do you think it is necassary to improve grappling for mma

After 12 reads I think your problem is that you consider bjj as well as no gi to supplement your mma? No-gi is better for your mma obviously. I personally prefer no-gi grappling, but I take bjj classes as well, because otherwise I could only train like 4 times a week.

If your focus is in mma, you shouldn't do gi jiu-jitsu. Unless it's the only option, then it's better than nothing

I would say that adding gi training will help your overall grappling because of added mat time.
I think you should do both if you have the time to train both. Otherwise stay with nogi.
