MMA fans cry about fighters not being paid enough

Yet finally a fighter , in their prime, is financially ok to where he can hold out to be paid what he's worth, and fans are ridiculing him. In every other sport hold outs are common place, in some cases an athlete will hold out an entire season.

Now finally MMA fans are getting what they ask for and a high-profile fighter in their Prime finally standing up to the man and the management and yet here you are crying that he already has enough money and should just get back in there and fight. Ridiculous.

You should be praising Conor this could be the start of something big where more Fighters begin to hold out and request the money that they deserve exactly what you fans have been asking for for many years.

Or wait a second are you saying that you wish Fighters would get paid more but you don't want it to interfere with you watching good fights sound pretty selfish

Holdouts, strikes and unions are the only path to fair pay

I've always said Conor won't be fully appreciated until he's long gone, just like Ali who was hated by many in his prime, he's smashed the glass ceiling and changed the game.

His haters are the most irrational human beings I've ever interacted with.
 
So sitting on a belt for a year and a half, stalling up a division so one guy can make 50 million is something we should all be cheering on.

True story: I feel like Conor the fighter should be fighting soon. But then again I admire Conor the person for not doing so.

What's the purpose of fighting? Winning. Conor has won. Not against each and every opponent, but he surely have done much better than that: He's actually financially secured for life, which is what fighting is all about in the first place: Making a secure life for yourself, passing your genes on.

Not one "fighter" getting all the money.
 
I feel they're paid too much these days, they've lost the hunger.

How many divisions has he held up with his bullshit?

Lets just put him in there with Khabib and end this.

Conor is using this to his advantage. He knows everyone thinks he's ducking/ scared but he doesn't give a fuck what anyone thinks. It's just going to make everyone want to see him lose all the more badly.

He hasn't held up anything. He's just doing what's best for him. If you're upset about the "divisions being held up" blame the UFC. They're the ones who let it happen.

FW is fine and LW has more attention on it than ever.
 
The reasons for ridicule are just.

The reasons for praise are just.

Conor is a duck who would lose to a bunch of competition, but acts like he has already beat them all when he is 2-2 in his last four fights.

He is barely better than Nate Diaz, who isn't that great of a fighter anyways. Heck, the current LW champ would probably lose to a declining Benson Henderson.

Conor still has a good resume with Aldo, Holloway, Poirier, Alvarez. He deserves his belts as much as Bisping earned his, no more or less. Conor is a Bisping with a much shorter career.

The fight with Mendez should have never been stood up, and there would be a good chance the train would have been derailed that night. His TDD and positioning looked a lot better v Alvarez and Diaz II, and deserves some recognition for closing some gaps in his game.

The biggest problem I see is that he isn't eager to fight, and wants folks to "beg". Fuck that - if you're not interested in competing, please go away. Defend or vacate is a legitimate complaint.

Also, cokeheads are annoying, and it will be a sad story if he parties his way to an early grave.

Bullshit post though...Fans aren't crying because one fighter gets paid diddly squat....it's because MOST fighters don't get enough pay. Look at boxers. Pay is based on skill...Now tell me McGregor's skill is way advanced than...wonderboy, Khabib, Woodley, Tony Ferguson, TJ & Mighty Mousen or Nate Diaz....thought so....

At least he has something positive to say and is actually reasonable unlike you, who does nothing but bitches about Conor in every thread he can every chance he can get.
