Not sure on the Pride thing but the NSAC thing I heard of a while back. Wouldn't be surprised if that happened.

Dana was lucky that his friends had the money and the the position in the state to take that shit. Who knows if mma would've flourished without that happening

I think personally you are looking to deep. Not that you are wrong. Not at all. It’s like this bro. If you sincerely believe the UFC came from nothing to this without savage ruthless business tactics you just don’t get how things work. Of course they did. Dana is one of the biggest scheisters to hit TV since Don King to include tele-evangelists. I say you are looking to deep because if it’s true you are snitching on affairs that have nothing to do with the fights you watch. If you want to say well I don’t want to support a shady company, my answer is they are and the fight is coming on tonight. So what you gone do? Not saying you don’t know your shit. It was a good read. I read it like look at this guy dropping dimes. The only time I’m snitching on anything fight related is if I bet money and see something that looked like a work which I wont even talk about here. I contend that even if true the company’s nails are far more filthy than that. Organized crime has its hands in the pockets of fighting period. Not my opinion.They are just in league with major corporations now at a higher level

I heard somewhere that before Art Davie and the other original owner sold the UFC to Zuffa, they were really trying to move toward regulation. They'd started off advertising it as a bloodsport and all that, but later on they saw the writing on the wall and wanted to get regulated (just like Dana did shortly afterward) but they couldn't get anywhere with any state athletic commissions. So they had to sell the company for whatever they could get. Ended up being 2 million.

And back then wasn't one of the Fertittas on the NSAC board? And iirc didn't another NSAC big wig resign and join the UFC shortly after Zuffa bought it too? Was it Mark Ratner? idk I can't remember who it was off the top of my head.

Point is, that's pretty shady if the Fertitittias and their people had any influence on the original UFC owners not being able to get regulated. Then bought it for next to nothing. Then used their NSAC connections to get it regulated, which is the main thing that saved the company.





Kind of makes me wonder if Zuffa and their people had anything to do with that Japanese newspaper somehow getting evidence of PRIDE's yakuza connections. But that's just speculation for fun on my part.

The first part used to be common knowledge. Didn't realize it was forgotten about.

Next, talk about the Xience (or whatever it was called) investment fraud used to launder money to top fighters beyond what their UFC contracts were paying them.
