Billy Wagner was a beast throughout his career. Makes me feel old that you guys don't remember him.
Because baseball has guys who are great for 3-4 years and then become super mid. There are new great players that never have longevity.

I'm loving all of these dodgers are ruining baseball articles

Scherzer going to the Jays, one year, $15.5 million.

Seems like Pete and Alex aren't gonna get their big long term deals before spring training. Good thing Vientos emerged and found his game in time to take 1B.

Pete's gonna get overpaid by someone and that team is gonna get the Ryan Howard treatment.

The Mets fanbase badly wants Pete back if you look at socials and is going to be devastated if the Mets let him go. Mets haven't had a homegrown power hitter except Strawberry. They don't care if Alonso isn't efficent hes their guy. If Alonso signs elsewhere they'll be protests outside the stadium tbh.

What about David Wright? I thought they said he has all sorts of Mets offensive records.

Its a longevity thing he has those records because historically the Mets are a pitching franchise thats never really had a star hitter star long term. Its why Mets fans are freaking the fuck out about potentially losing Alonso. I was at his first MLB game he was my favorite player but the career numbers are lacking even if he was clearly a HOF caliber player.

Mets pitching records mean something, hitting ones really don't.

How's Ippei gonna afford to pay restitution unless he does like OnlyFans? He seems to suck at gambling.

Last night on Apple News, I saw an article that suggested Dodgers are keeping Chris Taylor and paying $15 mil per year so he can have active service long enough to get his MLB pension.

Sounds like they aren't doing themselves any favors for this, but article suggests doing this type of thing makes their team attractive for future free agents.

Yea that may be the only reason he’s still in the league. He’s been awful.
