(Disclaimer, this is not an attempt to undermine or refute the #metoo movement nor do I think it's okay to grab women by the pu$$y)

So many great comedians have touched on this, Dave Chapelle, Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, etc all have touched on this...yes, we are supposed to respect women's boundaries, treat them as equals, and not as sex objects etc...but sometimes the signals we get or the appropriate rules we are told, are pretty fucking confusing.

I came across this video on YouTube.

Bill Maher's new rules on the "grey area" in regards to how Hollywood portrays romance.
It's a short video, definitely worth a watch.

And here's a great article about Han Solo.

During the height of the #metoo movement, 50 Shades was the #1 movie in America. It was also a national bestseller.

almost all of the classic Romantic Comedies would not survive the scrutiny of the rules championed by the #metoo movement.

Love Actually (mentioned in the video above) is a perfect example.

I mean, I think every man in this forum has hooked up, or put the moves on a co-worker here. Were we being inappropriate and/or crossing boundaries?

What are your thoughts on the video, and the grey area that bill Maher speaks of?

All opinions welcome.

I am a tremendous pussy so I almost never approach a broad until i know for sure she wants something. But i guess I'm like that with everything. The fear of harassing a woman has been instilled in me from childhood

I had to reread this...for some bizarre reason, I read, "...I ate tremendous pu$$y..."

I cant read women at all. I need everything spelled out. I'm envious of anyone who has this skill.

I will stop spamming this thread now, sorry

it's all good dude...I said all opinions welcome.

I used to be like that...so timid and would never "pull the trigger" unless she completely spelled it out for me.

I was on a second date last night. we had dinner and went to a movie. At the movie she was holding on to my arm because she said she was cold and I went to put my hand on her knee was like "wait is this allowed". I did and it was very allowed. Also Game Night was actually pretty good.

Just this weekend we were laughing at this being a program for kids.

Somewhere between this French skunk and what the @metoo movement demands is probably the best route.

Confidence, sense of humor are incredible attributes that women find attractive.

are you able to engage in and maintain a conversation with women?
Yea. Actually, work has helped me get over a lot of my anxiestys as there are things I just had to learn how to do

yup....David Chappelle had a great segment on this very thing, how he had to screen children programing before letter his kids watch it.

People like shitty things. A lot sometimes. Honestly, if you really look into the whole BSDM movement.. while it can appear degrading on the surface it's an agreement between two adults about their mutual sexual desires. Exploring their own and each other's sexual boundaries, etc. It's ok to treat women like that when they tell you they want you to treat them like that. It's not ok to assume all women want to be treated like that because some women want to be treated like that. And to be fair to the subject matter, the women like the idea of a regular girl being swept up by a billionaire, discovering their secret sexual fantasies, and falling in love rather than just being really into being used as a stool or whatever.

And honestly, if you've had any encounters with women in the post 50 shades world... well I'll take more of that please.

Old movies don't stand up to modern moral standards. Are you really surprised? Ideas and thoughts have been moving so quickly since the internet became mainstream that it's getting hard to keep up.

Love Actually is 15 years old. 15! You probably weren't even allowed outside by yourself to see it when that movie came out.

I didn't watch this movie you homosexual.

It is inappropriate and inconvenient in pretty much all professional settings. Working with someone you fuck is only fun while you're fucking. Then it's a disaster.

I like Maher a lot and enjoy his program. I wasn't feeling this piece much honestly. It's not bad, but it's not hist best either.

I think women's sexual queues are still pretty obvious, if not more obvious than ever. There is an app on my phone that I press buttons to find girls to fuck.

i think u meant 50 shades darker (2017). Never saw any of the shades movie but i vaguely recalled the original 50 shades released way before last year and it was (back in 15). 50 shades darker was not the number #1 movie in America. Height of #metoo movement was last year 2017 obviously...

Knee touching on the second date? You, sir, are too bold.

I think the grey area is useful because it gives the woman a little buffer of control, when even she might be uncertain about how she wants things to go. There was a coworker a while back who complained to our boss about me being forward, and then she called me over to her place to screw around with her and her best friend. She wasn't crazy or being mean, I think she just didn't know what she wanted. Could have ended badly for me, but it ended well that time. Fuck if I know. It put me off making any kind of gestures at work though.

We actually made out during the first date, but for some reason I feel like placing your hand on their knee/thigh is more intimate than kissing.

It's not your fault man.

"I'll give you a blowjob, but I'm not comfortable telling you my middle name"

Uh sure, whatever you say
