If the Mitrione fight wasn't in Russia it would have been stopped when Mitrione was dropped and covered up motionless while eating bombs.

Yeah. He almost lost and the fight could have been a draw instead of a win for Fedor. I never said that he didn't almost lose. What is there to let sink in?

Fedor got rocked. He immediately grabbed the back of Fabio's head on the ground (with his left hand) to attempt to defend. Then he tried to tie up Fabio's arm (with his right) which helped deflect punches and take much of the sting off of most of them. Then he rolled to attempt to switch positions. He was attempting to defend the whole time. When he got up to his feet Fabio landed some nice shots and Fedor was on wobbly legs but survived.

He didn't lay on his side motionless like Mitrione tonight and they still let the Mitrione fight continue

Mitrione did something that Fedor didn't do. Turtle and lay motionless for 5 seconds while his opponent punched him. That usually signals to the ref that they want out of the fight or don;t have their facilities about them.

Fedor got rocked and immediately attempted to tie up Fabio and defend himself. Most of Fabio's shots on the ground (immediately after the knockdown) grazed him because he was trying to tie Fabio's arm up and it deflected many of the shots so that they didn't land flush

Not like it dont happens in the UFC. Cain vs JDS...JDS was using the cage just to stay up, couldn't walk straight and it should have been called.

Stipe vs Hunt could have been called many times, Stipe was looking at the judge while pounding on an immobile Hunt.

MMA judging is highly subjective, which is why I think 2 counts should be implemented.

I wasn't shocked they gave him the decision, but was a little surprised they actually went that way. Rampage looked slow and disinterested.

They could have stopped it but I don't think Big John just lets fights go on longer than he otherwise would because of the location of the fight. Matt wasn't intelligently defending himself but it was only for about a second or so then he started defending himself again. I'm perfectly fine with them not stopping it but it could have also been stopped as well. I don't think it was a bad decision to let it go on at all.

From that gif it looks as though Big John may have partially block the third shot after Mitrione hit the ground. Probably just the angle though.

If there is bad judging in the ufc, it's the judges fault. If there is bad judging in Bellator, Bellator is corrupt....even though the athletic commission appoints the judges in both.

If the ref lets Fedor vs Maldonado go on when Fedor is rocked, it's Russian bias and should have been stopped, even though Fedor came back and won. When the ref let's Lesnar vs Carwin go on, Lesnar is a tough guy and deserved a chance to fight through it as proven by the fact he came back and won.

I was surprised it wasn't stopped. If this was the UFC Rogan and Goldberg would have spouted some revisionist history about BJM's experience and "seeing things we can't" etc. Instead of admitting that even veteran refs fuck up, just generally less than less experienced ones.
