Jesus. These fighters have restraint. Imagine doing something dangerous for a living and the people profiting the most off it have the balls to basically say that you are not needed or appreciated. We seem too civilized as a society. Why haven't the Fertittas and Dana White had the ever-loving shit kicked out of them to the point where they wouldn't talk like that openly?

I'd like to see a full scale bail out by the fighters. I'm sure Coker would be willing to promote a fight a week like the UFC is he had the bodies.
 
It fucking sucks. But is it not true? How many of these people would remain stars if not for the stage they perform on? If they switch to a different organisation, how many people would really follow them?

If they retire, they how many people actually care about their persona's afterwards?

Few manage to grow beyond the UFC. Unfortunately.
 
The success of the UFC relative to their competition over the years, especially on PPV, suggests Fertitta is at least partially right. Obviously they have big draws but the big draws are temporary and I'd bet that on every UFC PPV Mitrione fought on, there were a whole lot more people who bought it just because it's a UFC event than bought it primarily to see Mitrione fight.
 
The UFC is supposed to be the elite of the elite, and the fighters are finding less and less incentive to stay. Mitrione is right.

It's like if your employer lowered your pay, expected the same amount of work, and changed up all of your benefits so you could only use obamacare.

Would be wise for all fighters to band together on this. The Fertitas and Dana are business extracting ass clowns who talk as if they need more more more. WE need to expand blah blah blah blah blah. What they need to do is expand their current fighters bank accounts or Bellator will be the last ones laughing. Cheers Bellator, at least you allowed fighters to keep their sponsors instead of making them wear school uniforms; which by the way must be made by two year olds or just people that can't fucking get fighters names spelled correctly on their apparel.
 
Well the UFC is planning to sell the company to the Chinese once they have cashed in on the Conor train.

Of course the Ferts couldn't give 2 fucks about the other fighters.

MMA will be dead by then and all the other fighters will back to their day jobs.

Mitrione is not the "elite of the elite." And that happens to people who are expendable to their employer like Mitrione is to the UFC all the time. It's all about leverage.

Because that can end your career/freedom to the point where no one would ever try again.
 
It's not even that much of a weird thing to say. The product is the 'UFC', that's what they're selling. The NBA sells Basketball, they don't sell Lebron James. The NFL sells football, not the Mannings. The sport has to be bigger than the athletes, or else there's no future.
