Hot Take Missing walkouts, horrific flow, endless ads

not too bad - but they cut cruz's tribute off something awful, did they not? he was in the middle of thanking dudes at the desk and the thing suddenly went to 'the octagon is closed' and we had to switch links. not much of a tribute there.

Already wondering how long before I decide to go back. Between the stuff listed in the thread title, no calls on fouls, the shit-tier O'Malley decision, not sure I want any bit of money I spend to lead back to TKO. I can still support the fighters directly by interacting with their social media stuff and buying merchandise from them, no need to support money hungry corporate entity

It was almost bad enough that I want to go back to just pirating the card a few hours after it's finished.

It was already like less than 3 hours of fighting or whatever for a broadcast that last like 6-7 hours.

Now all that filler is just stupid ads for american shows and stuff that I don't give a flying fuck about.

And ads instead of walkouts fucking sucked. When they started then doing ads in between rounds?

Fuck off, Paramount.

If you watch the Multiview stream you can see the walkouts and there's no ads. It splits the screen so you won't want to watch the fights that way but its good for watching walkouts fyi.

Not bad at all for the 1st time. Better than ESPN+ for sure. It'll only get better

I don't mind the ads. I paid $60 for the whole year so...

All companies need their pound of flesh nowadays. The 70$ yearly price tag was always bound to come in with heavy commercialization

they aren't gonna charge 80 bucks to watch 5 fights instead they are gonna r_pe everyone blind with ads and promos.

I did like Kate Scott better than Karyn Bryant. They better bring back Paul Felder he was alright and much better than Weidman

Eh, compared to ESPN when viewing on a desktop it doesn't really feel all that different to me yet.

My main complaint that made me want to put a hole in my monitor was the fact that -- after pausing the stream and coming back to it, if you click in the center of the screen to unpause it the way you could with ESPN+, the fucking app decides to fuck off onto some random Paramount program. You have to specifically pause/unpause using the play button at the bottom of the screen or the spacebar. This is infuriating to me as a design choice. I'm watching what I want to watch, why the fuck would I want to transition to another program directly from my chosen bit of entertainment? If I really wanted to, I'd damn well go back to the menu or, you know, use the search function.

It doesn't help that I've got years of muscle memory of clicking the center of the screen built up from ESPN+. Also, once I make the mistake, I gotta go back and decide between either starting the stream over from the beginning or going Live. Neither option is attractive if, say, I paused the broadcast when I was three and a half fights through the Prelims and came back hours later to catch up.
