Missing by 0.2lbs more undeserving title than cutting the line?

We have Dan Henderson cutting the top 10 to fight Bisping. Everyone loved it and said what a good boy Dan is and he deserved his chance being so old. Now we take Yoel who fought without a complaint killer after killer. denied his shot so many times, making weight the first time vs Whittaker now denied by the commission to cut it...and hate him for it? What is this logic of "sport." What are these double standards you take up?

Yoel missed by two pounds. Missed again in overtime. Unprofessional
 
This will be his third Title shot and second time he's missed weight for one.He has nobody to blame but himself.
 
There were plenty of people, including me, saying that Hendo should not have been handed that title shot over the top contenders. And I am a big Hendo fan.

Bisping is Dana's boy. He got the fight that he asked for and managed to duck every top contender while he was the champion.
 
The UFC doesn’t have a real legitimate ranking system and that sucks.

But the two things have nothing to do with each other. Yoel missed weight, that’s on him.
 
He failed to make weight. You say he missed by .2. Ok. So Where's the line, and why? .3? .8? 3 lbs? He was completely and in every way drained at 185.2. Whitaker was fine. It isn't ok to miss weight. Henderson fought his fight on weight.
 
Missed weight... for the second fight in a roll. Should be moved up to 205. Sucks for him that time is ticking at 41 and might never get that UFC Belt.

lol no one said Dan deserved it. The general consensus was that it was bullshit. The only people defending it were Bisping fans who knew it was an easier fight for Bisping.

Not really sure what you are talking about but if he is having trouble cutting/ducking then he should move up. Pretty simple. He's a PED cheat and cuts weight to duck fighters that are his size or bigger.... yeah, no sympathy from me.

Bisping stepped up on short notice and just happened to save a card. Uncle Dana remembers these things. He wanted Hendo, so he got Hendo as a thank you.

I can't cut Romero slack for missing weight. It's just unlrofessional. It's like I've always said about everybody that had full notice...he had months to make weight. He signed a contract saying he would make 185 lbs months before he had to. He's made weight plenty if times before. There's really no excuse, and unfortunately for him, this was probably his last opportunity to fight for a title.
 
Dan didn't 'cut the line'.

Bisping walked to the back of the line and found the oldest guy who had beaten him and called him out.

Whittaker accepting the Romero fight at any weight is a more legitimate defense than Bisping hand-picking semi-retired fighters for his very first defense.

people didn't think it was fare for dan 2. people called bisping a ducker as well

THANK you. I'm wondering if OP stumbled into an alternate timeline of Sherdog and didn't realize it.

Hardly anybody was on board for the Dan fight. But we didn't throw hate and vitriol at Dan because he MADE weight. Missing weight for two title fights in a row that you were contractually obligated to make weight for garners no sympathy.
 
Each fight has the potential to end your career. Each fight with the best of the division increases that potential.

They should round up or down to the nearest pound in these situations.
