All 62 towns/cities combined, there were 264 murders in 2017. Can't see it having jumped up nearly 200.
I'm Canadian myself, and I hate how sanctimonious this country is. Per 100,000 residents, Canada has a violent crime rate of 1,143.5, about triple that of the United States, which is at 368.9.
So yeah, not as many people get shot or murdered, but how is that human trafficking, how's that assault, how's that burglary, how's that rape, how are those drug addicts?
I've been all over this country from Thunder Bay to Winnipeg to Regina, and I'd much rather take my chances in the States. We hardly punish our criminals, and we have three news stations that all parrot the same comforting lies the government gives them in a press release.
