It's really silly we've got to the point where professional athletes who have to go through crazy fight camps and fight a trained killer at the end of it aren't allowed to take doctor prescribed medicine that any of us non-athletes could legally take with no backlash.
Fuck the USADA era. Dana fucked the UFC forever with the Reebok and USADA deals. And that's REAL!

Anyone who has followed Mirko knows that he's very very big on respect and honor. I'm not saying he didn't take PEDs in Pride btw. It's very possible he did but I don't believe it was against the rules or "cheating" there/then.
Anyway on this the only thing Mirko did wrong was not consult UFC/USADA before he got the treatments b/c he claimed there wasn't enough time. He tried to sneak this 11 day treatment in and hoped nobody would test him during that time and it was bad luck that they did. But that's it. He then admitted and explained the entire thing. I do not believe he was cheating.
