No shame in getting outclassed by Natalia. The girl has some of the best kicks in the division and her strongest area (clinch defense) is Jas's way to win fights.

Was really a nightmare match up for Jas.

I feel like Jas is going to have a strength advantage in this one. Could potentially grind out a win.

Interesting. It seems like people are pretty big on Maverick in this thread. I know she is good, and the betting sportsbooks seem to think that as well from her last couple of fights where she has been a huge favorite. But it sounds by what you say that there could be some potential money to be made here with her as an underdog if Jasmine has a tricky style for Miranda to deal with.
 
IIRC Maverick got outclassed by Blanchfield but has looked good since then. And Blanchfield is probably a future champion so I won't hold that against her.
 
The last two opponents Maverick beat, Sabina Mazo and Shanna Young, both left the promotion. If Jasudavicius loses she'll be 2-2 in the UFC. Could she be next on the chopping block?

I expect the UFC will give her another chance but she was probably on a 4-fight contract off the Contender Series so who knows?

Well, look at it like this:

The best fighter Mav has beaten is probably Deanna Bennet, which was back in 2019. However, this was part of a one night tourney in Invicta. They'd both already fought twice earlier in the night for 1 round, but Maverick had easier opponents, and also, she was 23 at the time. Deanna was like 35. 3 fights like that in a night is a lot harder on the older fighter than the younger and the effects looked obvious.

And earlier in that same year Deanna and Mav fought in a normal fight as well, and Deanna won an easy decision.

Mav is getting some hype at the moment for coming off two dominant wins, but they were against Mazo and Young, neither of which are even in the UFC anymore because they weren't that good. Mav actually looked really rough on the feet against Young, who is basically shit everywhere.

She really has no great wins. Weak, no athleticism Gillian was able to control her for one whole round, and Barber, who sucks, got by on being stronger and more athletic and little else. Erin mauled her. She was way more skilled, but just strength and athleticism-wise, Mav couldn't compete with her at all.

Jas isn't incredible or anything, but she's 5'7 to Miranda's 5'3. She's going to have the reach and likely the strength.

If Mav was having trouble with Young, who was also 5'7, she's going to have way more trouble with Jas, who seems to have even more reach, a better understanding how to use it than Young did, and more overall striking skills.

And then yeh, Jas has grappling. In her last two wins, once she's got on top that was the round won. I think she was 10-8ing Hansen in one round with it.

I'll be thinking about this one a lot closer as it approaches for gambling. Mav will almost certainly be the favorite, so yeh, there might be some cash to be made on Jas here.
