Mir wasn't sloppy, Fedor just out maneuvered him

I've seen a lot of people saying Mir was sloppy but I don't think so.
I think he tried to get Fedor against the cage during the last exchange but Fedor just out maneuvered him and it left Mir off balance and exposed.

Here's something to help explain what I think. Thoughts?

Mir was definitely sloppy. Every thing in the description points to very sloppy footwork and positioning from Mir.

Fedor also outmaneuvered him, but he didn’t have to do anything amazing to pull that off.

Nice points.
I think both guys did well.
Unfortunately both their chins are suspect now, after such long careers.

most sherdoggers are so casual they didn't even see Fedor slip Mir's punch. i think Mir overextended himself because Fedor's chin was so exposed; Fedor moves 2 inches and Mir missed by 2 inches. it was a pretty sweet slip (insert jokes on Fedor's other kind of 'slip' 15 seconds into the bout....here).

but it was also a pretty darn sloppy fight.

I hate after the fact analysis......You can literally breakdown anything and come up with your own interpretation on how fighters meant to do that.

Fedor = GOAT

People are too harsh on these old timers, some sloppiness in MMA HW is to be expected.

Even the UFC champ has some very sloppy moments.

Great analysis.

Most sherdoggers are fat, basement dwellers who dont know how to fight or even see these kind of details.

Not really, it was pub brawl level.

It's highly upsetting to see Fedor vs. Herring and then Strikeforce and onwards fights.

Fedor has his chin way up in the air swinging wildly. The "superman punch" ish right he threw as Mir was coming in was appalling, he just randomly jumps forward with a straight right (just before the exchange starting at your pics) and misses completely. It's surprising he didn't get KO'd right there.

It's good he beat Mir though. Now apart from Couture he totally cleaned out his era of heavyweights lol.

Lol at throwing a left expecting to barge into fedor. Fuckin lol.

I certainly appreciate the thought that went into this post and the supporting illustrations, definitely helps strengthen your argument which I happen to agree with.

With the internet these days anyone can post their opinion, from the retard down by the trailer park with 1 tooth, or the 12 year old that skipped school so he can jerk off all day while mom and dads at work.
