Steve is old, was retired and was always a safety first fighter. Not to mention that he never was a banger. Not too surprising of a result
Man, Cunningham was pretty much known as a guy that would stink out the joint, and do just enough to win. And mir is a huge dude and a decent puncher. A tiger doesn't change his stripes
That’s not exactly true, he beat the shit out of Big Nog and Knocked Out Cro Cop. He didn’t have the best striking, but he did well a lot of the time.Frank is also old and 10 of his 13 losses have come by KO, the fact that fat as shit old retired Mir survived to see a decision was shocking. I'm a huge MMA fan and I thought he was going to be KO'd for sure, he has been extremely chinny lately even more so than usual and let's not forget in MMA he was mostly a BJJ guy certainly not known for any striking skill.
Cos he got paid to carry him that's why. He's a pro so he did his job.The type of come back id expect from a white belt. Now go ahead and explain what cunningham had to gain from carrying an mma fighter in a boxing match? Did he think it would enhance his reputation rather than hurt it?

You are delusional and don't understand anything about boxing if you couldn't see he carried him. Paid for by the organisers who got a big MMA name like Frank Mir on their card. Do you think they'd have got him if he was going to be just knocked out by a seasoned pro boxer?who paid and why, for what benefit? do you also believe the earth is flat?

He lost every round on 2 judges scorecard. Close to a draw?This is what I saw. Mir has been put out quite a few times lately. Both guys played it safe. I didn't see a carry. I think Mir conceivably could have won 2 rounds. Thats dangerous for a carry being that close to a draw. The right guy won and two old dudes had an okay lil match.

It was a carry.
@sweetviolenturg
We spoke about how we thought Steve would go easy on Mir because of attitude. And their families met and hung out.
Steve wasn't gonna put this old man out in front of his daughter who's working his corner.
And you probably thought Conor did really well against Floyd too, and had no thought to why Floyd was just walking around for a few rounds not doing anything.I'm saying he could have lost two. I didnt have it that way but 2 rounds were pretty close. I dont think we're going to agree and that's fine but I dont think it was a carry. I think he would have put Mir out if he landed something big and saw an opening to follow up but it never came.

Go watch Marc Castro destroy UFC fighter John Moraga in 2 rounds and drop him with a jab 7 seconds in. That's not a carry and you'll see the difference.
@Kovalev's "Man Bag"
That Mir was getting touched up and Cunningham was carrying him?
Yes, saw it clear as day.
Also can add Cunningham was 44, a lhw and retired for 7 years to carry Mir who had 70 Ibs weight.
He hasn't fought in 4 years and is 44 years old. lol at acting like that's not relevant to his performance.lol @ using the age and retirement excuse when cunningham was totally ripped and pure muscle, in amazing condition, while Mir was the out of shape slob.
Holy shit I haven't seen such a delusional idiot as you for a long time. You don't know shit about boxing if you couldn't see he was being majorly carried.Ah so the MMA fighter was so scared he needed to be guaranteed he would be carried before he signed. You should write movie scripts you muppet. And you clowns like to pretend its the mma fans who are the most insecure. lol
I'm now interested in David Haye vs Rumble.
