What ideas should people be open to? Getting out of your car, rolling over, and letting these nice disenfranchised youths beat your brains in?

Sounds like you're more upset about the confederate flag than you are about the video where they were targeting whites while the cops sat back.

This has been going on awhile. Zimmerman and trayvon was a couple years ago and they've been covering things like this since. It's disappointing because I think covering news this way isn't healthy. Statistics are what matter in these discussions but the media likes to show a scenario. This causes them to air every single time it occurs and it gives the wrong perception to the viewer. I can't remember how many times I've heard someone have a conversation about this and say "it's always happening, just look on the news" as if that's a representation of the population.

What makes it worse is when the media has a clear political narrative and a case occurs and they take whichever side to push the narrative when tht doesn't work for specific instances. It's distrusting when this stuff is breaking news and you can already see the pundits take sides when a trial isn't even close. Assholes like nacy grace. It's spread much farther since her and it isn't healthy for the country.

Ok so per capita what does that matter. Still doesn't change these facts.

3 quarters of entitlement benefits goes To old or disabled people

Most food stamps are for working poor and they're white.


If your argument has to be per capita you're missing most of the importsnt information

Well, the guy said per capita and you said he was wrong. So I said you were wrong and proved it.

And of course whites do the most of everything; they're the majority. Quite the opposite, looking at total numbers tells you little; per capita is more revealing. If you looked at data and saw the 1% minority group committed 100 crimes and the 99% majority group committed 1,000 crimes, that tells you nothing without examining it per capita. If those 100 crimes mean 75% of group A commits crimes, and only %0.75 of group B do, I'd say that's much more illuminating than saying "Group B does more crime." No shit, they're 99% of the place. 1000 is more than 100 but that 1000 is negligible when compared with the 100 per capita. If you have to address the problems of a community, you should focus on B. There's something wrong there.

Still you're missing the importsnt information.

Like 3-quarters of entitlements are old people or disabled.

The truth is if you have to argue per capita you're missing relevant information.
