He had a strange career, peaked late, and then went downhill. But when he peaked, he did take the belt and defend it.
He had a reputation for loving everything about the MMA life. Trained like crazy every day, worked front desk/phone at the Coco Creak. Supposedly drove the same old crappy car even when he was making decent money, because he didn't care about that kind of stuff.

I think his overall career is a bit underrated on Sherdog.

But about the OP topic, last I'd heard, he was going to keep going. Maybe I missed some more recent news.

I think he'd make a hell of a coach.

I agree with this. Mike is barely even mentioned on sherdog. He was legit,beat Faber 2x.
