I'll be the first to tell you, UFC fighters are not paid what they're worth in regards to the revenue split and in general, this along with Perry basically leaving a gym and cutting out trainers due to being broke along with owing back taxes made me want to dig into his paydays and I was shocked with what I found.
Mike Perry vs Alex Oliveira April 27th 2019, Perry made 55k/55k with a 50k bonus for FOTN. 160k (won)
Mike Perry vs Vincente Luque August 10th 2019, Perry made 67/67k with a 50k bonus for FOTN. 117k (loss)
Mike Perry vs Geoff Neal UFC 245 December 14th 2019, Perry made 90k/90k. 90k (loss)
Mike Perry vs Mickey Gall June 27th 2020, Perry made 90k/90k. 180k (won)
Perry makes 10k in addition with his Reebok money each fight (which would be easily 50k if Reebok didnt exist, sadly) and he gets paid for only sponsor I know of besides Reebok, CBD-MD. He got 180k for beating up a 6-2 MMA fighter that is a regional level talent and Perry himself isnt a top 20 WW....
Perry isn't the brightest crayon in a marines mouth but considering how well he gets paid, I was surprised. With the money he saved on not paying a gym or coaches, he should invest in an accountant and financial advisor to help him with his taxes as a contractor and to better budget and invest his income.
Platinum Bless.
