I heard that Perry's girlfriend screamed "break his leg" while cornering his fight. I find that absolutely disgusting, not to mention worthless advice. Tell me if I'm being too sensitive or wrong to take issue, but he Perry needs to smarten up imo. Either way I'm starting to question if Perry has what it takes mentally to become a serious contender. Poor decision letting his girl corner his fights. And what was up with trying to de-pants his opponent during the weigh? I see potential in him, but I'm very worried.

The worst part of all of this is that she is his main training partner, pad man and main corner man. HE was the one that taught her to do all this stuff too, so there is no way for him to expand or learn any new knowledge - she only knows what he taught her. It takes years to get timing and all these fine things down, not to mention that it is your training partners that up your game, and if you have the blind leading the seeing, you are going to be in bad trouble.

to me, it looks like platinum's approach and gameplan is too simplistic. he should sometimes try to take guys down, so his opponents don't feel comfortable and can establish their own gameplan. it's exciting to stand-and-bang, but it doesn't always win you fights.
