Mike Bisping the Joe Calzaghe of MMA

Luke is Roy Jones Jr

The Wide is Bernard Hopkins

Anderson Silva is Peter Manfredo

Stay relevant long enough and you'll get gifted an opportunity thanks to injuries.

...Joe is still arguably the best 168 lb fighter in boxing history.

Comparing those two is ridiculous and I don't even really follow boxing.

Hopefully this is a joke. Calzaghe is an undefeated great...

Joe was never the best?. He beat Eubank,,Jones Jnr,B Hop, Kessler and 42 other guys who were put in front of him.He never really come close to loosing a fight. Bisping has been soundly beat on many occasions

Terrible comparison

Pitter-pattering his way to a decision over a 43-year old Hopkins is the only remotely notable victory on Calzaghe's record.

Bisping slumping Rockhold is better than anything Joe ever achieved.

Never the best, but GOAT longevity and career

Nah.

Cal wasn't just a stepping stone.

Yes, he could've had better opposition, but his talent and skill were there regardless.

It was a thing of beauty to see him tear off a shoe-shine speed combo and then suddenly COMMIT to one of the punches.

He was the best last night - And that was good enough to be the champion.

He beat Jones and Hopkins when they were old and washed up, and the Hopkins fight was very close. The rest of his resume is mediocre.

The Hopkins win was a great win as Hopkins was still making guys look bad before and after.
Jones was still a good fighter too but neither were washed up.

Please. Jones had been KO'd by Johnson and Tarver 3+ years before fighting Calzaghe. He was definitely a shell of what he used to be. Hopkins was still a decent fighter, but he was 43.

Hopkins was not washed up at all. He embarrassed Pavlik in his very next fight and was still a relevant and recognized top fighter 6 years after his fight with Joe, who people always fail to mention, was nearing the end of his career himself.

Oh boy, out comes the 'whoop ass' lol. 'Seano', where are you, do you agree? I love Bernard Hopkins, he did have the early knockdown on Calzaghe, but then gassed, because, one thing Bisping and Calzaghe DO have in common is high volumes of punches, but no power.

Hopkins just couldn't keep up at that pace,...but who's still fighting and had a longer career, lol, Bernard Hopkins; a legend, GOAT status immortality, but Joe Calzaghe, the debate will go on and on about him imo.
