"They're so strict, you just don't know," "I don't know what's on the banned substance list. Someone said they're adding new stuff on here."

Johnson's solution? He gives a USADA rep a call every time he's going to use something, even if it's something as simple as Tylenol.

"I think the biggest thing with USADA is, I don't know the logistics of the Lyoto thing, but, like, that's why I truly do not, if I take something ... if I take Tylenol and ibuprofen, I call USADA. I say ‘Hey, I'm taking ibuprofen bro, is that okay?'"

Ultimately, Johnson agrees with the idea a fighter is ultimately responsible for what they put in their body, whether or not the banned substances list is cumbersome.

"Absolutely," Johnson said. "That's why I don't take proteins supplements."

The P4P Goat doesn't use supplements, why does anyone else have to? This old 80s slogan should be applied to supplements for fighters.

Pretty soon USADA is going to be banning fighters for adding spices to their food.

I like that the USADA is cleaning up the sport, but I think two years is excessive. I think that maybe they should come up with a classification system based on the substance (ie Level 1 Substance - 6 months, Level 2 - 9 months etc...). I feel like its hard to know for sure what is in these supplements (I'd recommend watching the John Oliver piece, the industry is incredibly unregulated). I especially don't think its fair to the guys who are making a low amount (10k show 10k win). These guys already are paying for camp and now they have to get every supplement they get from GNC tested by a lab?

Mighty Mouse is a true champ.

Buuut.. being a small guy myself (probably would compete a FLW or BW) I can say that it is easier for us to train like maniacs without taking supplements or anything.

When I was training kickboxing I could not believe how much the bigger guys struggled during training. Plus they were more prone to injuries.

In a lot of ways it is pretty cool to be undersized.

If you tailor your diet to be high in protein/fats, you don't need these supplements. And he's not exactly huge and lifting heavy weights to need protein supps.

esentially they do.

the starting point is 2 years.

that can be reduced all the way down to no ban at all and a warning depending on degree of fault.

It can also be increased up to 4 years for aggravating circumstances

And no, how many times to people have to be told, there are loads and loads of verified, independently tested supplements they dont have to buy random shit off the internet

I was thinking the same thing about different types of substances. Someone who made a mistake with a supplement should not be punished the same as an obvious roider.

It must be hard to keep on all that 125lb mass with no supplements...

Maybe the UFC should enter into a supplement agreement , provided by one company for all it's athletes to take

one source to blame and/ or be pretested

My man...A person I can feel proud about cheering for. Keep your roided out freaks. Us good guys got Mighty Mouse

He's right, you're 100% responsible for what goes in your body, whether you're aware of it or not. Take your tainted supplement BS excuses and gtfo, cya in 2 years.
