Miesha is the least feared mma Champ of all time

She's really not that bad. It's just that Rousey kryptonite that looms over her career, that makes her not such a big deal. If Rousey had retired after the Holm loss, Miesha would be getting a lot more respect right now.

As it is though, she basically just won the title back for Rousey.

They might not fear her, but you can bet your ass they respect her.

Annheiser had no fear of this champion!

I would be surprised if any top level fighter feared another fighter.

If you can find it, watch Olympian Boxer Michael Spinks body language coming into his title fight against Mike Tyson, and than say this!

That's a good example and Alexis Davis looked the same against Ronda but both could be cases of being nervous as opposed to being scared.

I think that title got passed onto Holly...her white belt ground game was on full display Sat night.

I was a little shocked that she gave up her neck so easily. Her TDD was very good defending all but two for the entire fight (I think). Her armbar defense against Ronda was very good as well.

I guess they focused so much on armbar defense that they never covered choke defense because she not only gave up her neck, but failed to hand-fight with any effectiveness at all. Neither did she try to clear Meisha's hook before attempting to flip her over which is what allowed Meisha to stay on her and ultimately flip Holly over as well.

Just a lot of bad mistakes before and during the choke.

Still, if Ronda comes in sharp and as Full Camp Ronda instead of Hollywood Ronda then I think she probably gets her belt back.

Ronda > Meisha > Holly > Ronda

Spinks was shitting himself. That wasn't nerves. That was straight up fear. Can't blame him, really. Prime Tyson was a fucking animal.

Yes, Big Tim and Nog. (I thought Zombie Nog was usually reserved for their first fight, not their second when he was healthy and was "winning till he lost").

So thinking the defending champion would beat him in their rematch makes him the least feared champion of all time? I don't get it.

He was interim champ at the time, it was an unification bout.

Frank Mir never succesfully defended any championship, and he also went in championship fights.

Im not saying the guy was a can, im just saying that at no point anyone thought he could defend the title he took from Nog.

As you said, he was losing before breakings Nogs arm, just like Miesha was losing when she caught Holms with the RNC.

Note that the point of comparison is Miesha Tate, we are comparing champs with other champs.

I get all that. I'm saying that there's a bunch of champs I would put before Mir as far being "least feared" considering he had the ability to break a true HW's arm.

Even so she fought brilliantly, you deserve the W and the belt for how you fight, not for how scary you look

She fought horrifically. Brually/hilariously out classed standing up and managed to hit a desperation shot at the end after spamming 10+.

"Brilliant"

Round 2 was telling of how bad Holly's ground game is. Take down defense is one thing, having no idea how to get back up or improve her position off her back for an entire round is another.
The choke I could almost forgive as a mistake, round 2 was brutal to watch.....

I think if the rematch with rousey does happen, SHe's going to have the same approach like Holms did against rousey. She's going to look to move and box her way to a win. The last fight with rousey, she was winning most of the exchange but let rousey into clinch or did the dumb thing and shot in on rousey. I'd expect her to be smarter and better. But she is the least feared champ just by looking at her wins and the division by itself.

yeah, i have to admit it but i'm having trouble taking it seriously that she's the champ right now.

Holm just needs to learn how to KO high level competition. Her point-coasting style is what killed her.

I think more people called out Conor than any other champ ever.

But most were LW`s and WW`s so I`m not sure if it should count...
