She's one of my favorites and she did look good in that fight, but it left me a little worried. First, it was Magana...and she almost finished an armbar. Michelle's wrestling looked awesome but I hope she doesn't adopt a wrestling oriented style because I think it won't work against tougher fighters like Claudia, Torres, etc. I hope she sticks to her very fast, elusive, karate style that reminds me of a more aggressive (admittedly less skilled version of) Machida. Her new wrestling threat will enable her striking to be more effective.

Can't wait for the Torres fight. It will show us if she's really top tier. I believe she is.

I think she was just nervous that first round, because she gave that armbar to Magana THREE TIMES before Magana was able to lock it in. It was just one mental brainfart after another by Waterson in that opening scramble. Very frustrating to watch.

However, you need to remember that is Maganas strength and she has a incredible finish rate with it, and still wasn't enough to finish Michelle.

Torres, on the other hand, has done NOTHING to earn any fear or respect from Waterson on the ground. I think the Karate Hottie will take this to the ground very quickly.
