Michael Venom just got KTFO

I love how the crowd slowly chants "Lima." Before the winner announcement. Deja Vu of the movie Gladiator when the crowd starts chanting Spaniard/Maximus

Yeah, they're going to call up Rudy Bears to get MVP back on track in a few months. Maybe a rematch with Fernado Gonzalez who be barely won a split off of, but that might be too risky for his return to form fight.

Larkin vs MVP is the fight to make.

He showed he is legit. Lima is a tough and experienced guy and MVP was doing just fine. No doubt he will learn from this and tone it down a notch or two

He has all the tools to progess into a elite fighter

Well here why almost no one use that stupid side stance from american style full contact kickboxing/karate anymore

Also the mistake was to try to get up asap carelessly instead of observing/taking more time/laying on his back a bit .
One loss doesn't make him a chump though

Page survived nearly an entire round on the ground and took no damage, rocked Lima in the second, then got knocked out. It wasn't the schooling people wish it was. He's one-dimensional but he's no can. For all we know, one more clean strike from Page could have put Lima down and everyone would be saying he's legit. What a difference a single punch can make. You can't tell me the people rooting against him weren't worried when Lima got stunned for a moment.

If MVP is a complete fraud and a can, it would be near impossible for him to beat Lima, and that fight didn't convince me of that. It convinced me that Lima is the better overall fighter, which I think we all knew anyway, but it didn't convince me that Page is just a gimme fight for someone like that. It's not impossible for Page to beat a guy like Lima at all.

Page's wrist control was legitimately good. He should study old Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira fights and work on translating that into a triangle because Nogueira used to be really good at that with his grip strength and wrist control. I was hoping he'd at least go for something in the last 30 seconds of that round.

Why are so many of you acting like he got blown out of the water and exposed? He was landing hard shots and looking decent until he fucked up trying to get up too fast.

Dont get me wrong Lima is unquestionably the better fighter but some of you are exaggerating a bit much

Casuals are gonna shit on him, but the fact is when you fight the way he fights with his hands down and facing sideways, you're putting yourself in danger in order to try and hurt your opponent, it worked in MVP's favor every time until now, that doesnt mean he's a can suddenly, he just fought someone who didnt play into his game. After landing the 1-2 MVP got cocky and overextended right into that leg kick, shit happens.

Quoting a quality post here

The fact they say exposed is even more laughable considering they're basically saying Lima sucks.

If you dont think Lima sucks then he couldn't have gotten exposed because it was two good fighters facing off. One has to win one has to lose.

If Volk lost to Aldo tonight would he also have been exposed?

Realistically knowing Bellator they'll probably give him Erick Silva.

That would be a bad move from Bellator Silva is a hot young prospect they should let him grow a little before putting him againts the top guys

MVP v Silva for the battle of the undefeated prospects.

Page had completely forgotten that Lima was no tomato can had been in there with some elite Welterweights like Ben Askren and Rory Mac and tested their chins, and was going to completely see past the dancing and talking.

MVP was a joke and I knew he'd get owned by the first good fighter he faced.

"If he didn't try to get up". Yeah no, it all happened very quickly and I don't think MVP had a chance to avoid that punch, it was on its way long before he could have made the decision to stay down and he already got cracked by the time he was able to react.
