Outspoken Trump critic and fitness enthusiast Michael Moore has canceled his membership with SoulCycle over the owner's decision to host a Trump-related event.

SoulCycle, for those who don't know, is a popular exercise bike class. It's owned by a billionaire guy named Stephen Ross, who also owns those Equinox gyms. He also owns the Miami Dolphins.

Stephen Ross decided to host a Trump event at his house. Word got out, and a bunch of people became upset. Among those people was Michael Moore.

The owner of popular fitness clubs Equinox and SoulCycle is facing backlash after news emerged that he will be hosting a fundraiser for President Trump this weekend.

Billionaire Stephen Ross will be hosting the event at his Southampton home. Ticket prices are $100,000 for a photo opportunity with the president and lunch, with a quarter-of-a-million dollars getting a donor into the roundtable discussion, according to the Washington Post.

Following the announcement, a number of people have called for boycotts of his companies.

Ross also owns the Miami Dolphins. One of the team's players, Kenny Stills, criticized Ross for the upcoming fundraiser, as well.

You can’t have a non profit with this mission statement then open your doors to Trump. https://t.co/sNBWfEXvLn pic.twitter.com/nNkRf2wJep

Melanie Whelan, SoulCycle's CEO, issued a statement following the backlash. It reads in part, “SoulCycle in no way endorses the political fundraising event being held later this week. SoulCycle has nothing to do with the event and does not support it. Consistent with our policies, no company profits are used to fund politicians. We’re committed to all our riders and the communities we live in. Mr. Ross is a passive investor and is not involved in the management of SoulCycle."

Chrissy Teigen tweeted, "the gym is my personal hell but if you're a member of Equinox perhaps it is time to say peace(out)-inox ayyyyy I'm still sick yes but fuck equinox."

The View's Sunny Hostin chimed in, "The Post article writes that Trump fundraising luncheon is at the home of NY real estate developer Stephen Ross & his wife, jewelry designer Kara Ross. Good catch by @shannoncoulter - Ross also owns Equinox and Soul Cycle. No Soul Cycle for me today. Or tomorrow. Or the next day."

Filmmaker Michael Moore also claimed that he was canceling his SoulCycle subscription.

That’s it! Just cancelled my @SoulCycle membership! https://t.co/YvoG4pQv7w

Obviously the bigger issue here is political boycotts over petty things.
These boycotts have gotten out of hand.
People need to chill.

But people were also surprised to learn that Michael Moore has a gym membership, on account of the fact that he looks like he doesn't ever work out. That's a nice way to put it lol.

It's entirely possible that this was Moore's attempt at self-deprecating humor, as he is undoubtedly aware that he is disgustingly fat. If so, the joke is well-taken because he's a morbidly obese fatty. We're talkin Jabba the Hut—the guy looks like a giant slug with glasses. Still, it's difficult to credit the "self-deprecating" aspect of such humor, because he should be ashamed of being that fat. So in that respect, it's more sad than it is funny.

On the other hand, if Moore was being serious, that's pretty funny!

Anyway, glad it's Friday.
Comment, discuss, flame.

Soul Cycle is pissed, because they got free money on that fat fuck. He had a membership he never used.

God, imagine Moore in bike pants. Probably looks like a soda can that exploded in the freezer.

He looks like a fat, elderly Skrillex in that picture.

I'm sure they're very upset at the optics of a morbidly fat guy disavowing them.

Do people on the left even like this fat fuck?

Ehh, not a bad troll job from Mr. Moore.

Do people on the left even like this fat fuck?

I suspect they don't.
They probably agree with what he says, but they think he's annoying and ugly, and a bad ambassador for the brand, so to speak.

People have the right to choose on who and what they spend their money on.

Still not as fat as trump

Quick point of privilege. Trump may not be healthy but you wash your clothes in your kitchen. Don't think I forgot about that. Thank you for letting me speak my truth.

Morbidly obese man disagrees with gym owner's political support and vows to quit exercising and eat more donuts. That'll show him.

Look at me. I stopped paying for something I've never used. I'm awesome!

Like that fat fuck had any intention of using the membership in the first place <{outtahere}>

The bigger issue here is self-deprecating humor being a foreign language to MAGA incels the world over.

Oh, I’m sorry, MAGA Alfa Men.
