News Michael Johnson vs. CDF set for May 20th

Losing to Gamrot, Gregor Gillespie, and Beneil Dariush by split decision means he is washed?

CDF didn't look great against Gillespie but he more than held his own against Gamrot until that somewhat flukey injury occurred. Many people thought the tides were turning in the Gamrot fight just before the rib injury occurred.

He's pushing 40 at this point and lost 3 in a row.

His best days are behind him and he was on the shelf with a USADA suspension when he should have been picking up steam. CDF - who I really enjoy watching fight and was hoping would go further - isn't really 'washed' but he's certainly in the last phase of his career.

MJ is a journeyman and absolutely atrocious on the mat. He may get submitted on his walk to the Octagon, so theres that.

But in context I don't see CDF competing with elite fighters again, even after he taps Johnson.

I don't mind this but it'll be a case of who is less washed.

CDF, submission, 1st round. Surprisingly quick and one-sided.

Depends if MJ is the favorite.
If he is he loses via sub rd.2.
If he is not he wins tko rd1.

CDF kind of mauled Gillespie in round one before gassing. He was hanging with gamrot too. He seems plagued by injuries though and can never put in good camps, plus age....

Again with this? It was legit TKO - Gamrot did the same to Masvidal at ATT during sparring and injured his ribs too - that's why after fight he screamed to camera - Sorry Masvidal I love you! or something alongside this line.
And that's why Gamebred didn't fight Edwards - he pulled off due to ribs injury and Leon fought someone else or nobody - I can't recall now.
But I agree - CDF looked better than I expected against Gamer and after 1 round tides changed. He is very good and I wouldn't call him washed yet.
And yes he told us that he had injury month earlier but we don't know if it was excuse or legit case.

Later Mateusz told in some interview or somewhere that he learned that from his teammates from Red Dragon gym in Poland. Someone once even won a fight just like that or was it sparring only when they discovered this "trick"?

Don't know but

Shout out to HorrorGeek for this meme :D

I am sure that if Carlos still has it then he should win rather comfortably but you know it is against MJ - the most unstable fighter so who knows?

CDF is not who he used to be, but he's still too much for Michael Johnson at this point
He's kinda slow and there to be hit to I can see MJ catching him but overall I agree.
