Media Michael Johnson happy for son Dustin and grandsons Mike and Conor

I thought so too.

That being said, MJ’s fights are always fun to watch (win or lose) , and I always tune in anytime I see him on a card.

MJ had his 15 minutes of fame and lost his chance at another one. I really thought he was going to be a force. For 15 minutes.

He's forever gonna brag bout beating DP and Tony. He lost to pretty much everyone else in big fights. And he beat Edson. But usually he is 20% vs names.

Dustin has silly losses to 2 fighters he is clearly better than and one of them he avenged twice

Lol at thinking this was anything but a fluke. Prime and current Dustin would’ve beat the living shit out of him within 1 round. That fight was the definition of getting caught

Wasn't the first fluke loss of Dustins career
He rectified the first fluke twice

Nice one he needed a "W"
Johnson is 4-8 after his fight with Poirier. Including an unanimous decision to the man, the myth, the legend. Artem.

Poirier is 9-2. With 1 Nc. Lost to Khabib and Olivera.

Yeah, but where is MJ now and where is Dustin? Since that loss DP has:

W vs Pettis
W vs Gaethje
W vs Holloway
W vs Alvarez
W vs Hooker
W x 2 vs McGregor
L vs both champions
W vs Chandler

Impressive stuff from Poirier honestly.

Trevor Berbick beat Ali in Ali's last pro fight.

I'm guessing the comment is to demonstrate that just because you beat someone it doesn't automatically make you the better fighter overall

That's odd because im not talking about other examples. Im talking about Johnson/Guillard specifically.

I get you.. But then again... Johnson beating the Guillard he beat wasn't the same as Nate beating the Guillard he beat. The Guillard that Johnson beat was pretty much washed.

Same as the Ali the Berbick beat wasn't the same Ali that Norton beat.

The point makes sense

Fair enough. I just looked through the record and it seems he was slighty past it at this point. I just remember it being a very dangerous fight for Johnson going in, and had it 50/50. Was super excited for the fight but it sucked lol

he got caught bc MJ has exceptional hand speed....does you no fsvors to overlook that

Oh I meant a hypothetical win. Didn't know we were getting all scientific with it.
