go to any good boxing gym and you will fight guys infinitely more threatening than Perry. That is the reason for such arrogance.

Mma fighters are simply on a much lower level than people you train with day in / day out at any pure gym.

Pure strikers , in general , arent very good at fighting with less rules . The purer the striker , it seems , the worse they are when outside their wheelhouse .

There are obviously exceptions to this, but if you hit up any decent boxing gym, it's full of guys who would beat the shit out of perry without much effort.

Well yeah, Dana actually did compete and had a license to corner amateur fighters.

he had a sparring match against a ranked HW which was filmed so they could get the match sanctioned so it was more like a real fight.

Dana held his own.

Dana was definitely a very very good boxer, better than most in MMA, especially at that time.

He had the skills of a good amateur.

A lot of boxing gyms don't "spar", they fight.

Especially the oldschool mentality ones.

I fought in pankration. There were tournaments in Vancouver, tigerbalm / can am championships and some others we used to compete in. This was like 10 years ago so it's hardly relevant today, but yeah. Pretty sure you can still find them on youtube.

I've improved a lot in the last bit, especially with added lifting, deadlifts, posterior chain work, posture work, some dance, etc.

That's why I've been confident enough to say I'll post something. Only said this in the last few months.
