Michael Chiesa vs Mairbek Taisumov?

Who else would be down for this fight? I think it makes perfect sense as the winner would only be 1 or 2 shots away from a title match in my opinion. Chiesa impressed the hell out of me last night, and I've watched everyone of Mairbek's UFC fights live and have been saying for a long time he would be a top guy and potential title challenger. I think this could be a great fight, and maybe even a 5 round main event. Maybe for UFN 91?

I know a lot of people are calling for Chiesa vs Ferguson, which I think is a nice fight as well, but I'd be more into Ferguson and Khabib getting matched up again.

The Lightweight division is awesome right now. Almost every fight that could be made with guys in the top 10 or 15 would be competitive.

While a good match-up, Chiesa has been fighter a lot of big names in the divisional landscape, and has been campaigning very hard to keep going up in the rankings, no way he and his management take this fight, and I doubt it'd be offered either.

Also, someone get Magomedov a top ten fight. Guy's even better than Beckan.

I guess I'm just not looking at it the way. I just look at it as a great fight between to LW's who are on fire right now. I just looked and seen Mairbek hasn't even broke top 15 but in my opinion he should be. Either way I think rankings are silly especially in a stacked division like LW because there are a lot of guys outside the top 15 who are beasts. So honestly in my opinion Mairbek isn't far away from a title shot. I think Chiesa would be the perfect fight to catapult him there. And vice versa if Chiesa were take Mairbek out it would a super nice win again. You say Chiesa deserves a bigger name, but doesn't Mairbek as well?

Crazy that they tried to book Iaquinta at July last year, two fights fell off and now he doesn't even have a fight announced.

I think Taisumov would beat him, he hits even harder than Dariush, and is even harder to take down. I would give Taisumov a fight vs Dariush though, it was booked before, until VISA issues got in the way. Also, I think Magomedov would be a very difficult match up for Chiesa. He is so much sharper in striking than; Taisumov, Dariush and Chiesa.

Chiesa v either Tony Ferguson or Charles Oliveira would be good. I want to see him against someone who has a dynamic bottom game.
