“It’s perfect,” Chiesa said. “I think it’s meant to be. You know what I mean? This is the card that I was meant to be on. You got Paul Felder, Al Iaquinta, you got me and Pettis, Khabib and Ferguson. I mean, that’s six of the finest lightweights on the roster.

“I really believe that if I go out there and do what I believe I’m capable of on April 7th, I think that it’s really launching me into the top five, and I’m looking to be number one contender by the end of the year.”

Chiesa honestly strikes me as the type of guy that can beat or lose to anyone in the top 10. He shows flashes of brilliance at times, then totally shits the bed others. People often forget how close he came to finishing Masvidal on the feet, excited for his next fight.

I think Lee beats him every time.

Chiesa is not a KO artist and relies on his ability to take people's backs by surprise on the ground. Lee is a better back-taker than him, and a bigger, stronger guy to boot.

Pretty much this

Nah Chiesa has power and Lee has a glass chin. Lee is scary when he gets the mount and back though, also his GNP reminds me of a LW version of Rockhold. Dude just pummels guys on the ground.

Lee isn't bigger, nor particularly stronger than Chiesa. What the fuck.

Surely you also thought Lee would beat tony? I personally thought it opportunism but I still believe Chiesa is the better fighter, time will tell

Delusional and thoughts of grandiosity. Hmm...

LOL Chiesa is on a roll this week, I can't really knock the guy, but he's making some bold claims, hopefully he doesn't lose doing all this "I will, I could" Talk. I don't put beating Pettis past him though, Pettis is down the hill from the looks of his last few fights.

I like his attitude, he's got that Beerbohm-esque confidence

Pettis starches him.
