Michael Chandler vs Dan Hooker

Tbh I know next to nothing of Chandler. I think I’ve seen one fight of his. I’ll wait until a week out and then I’ll research his fights. Then I’ll make my pick. But, it won’t have anything to do with him coming from Bellator or hating that org. I just don’t watch it much. Because when I do, it’s usually a very forgettable shit show.

This.

USADA is currently handicapped by Coronavirus, which might be why we’ve seen some great resurgent scraps this year.

I expect Chandler to do well as long as the hysteria around this D level virus remains. He’ll smash Hooker.
Acai Chandler is no easy task. And the inner <EdgyBrah>makes me question testing the past year. Still rooting for Hooker. A three rounder should work in Dan's favor? I think if he can eat Dustin's shots he will be okay with Chandler?

It sort of started off decent. Maybe I was giving Coker some wiggle room. They have Moose, Lima, and A.J. McKee(also Koreshkov, Larkin). MVP snake man getting destroyed by Lima was very entertaining. I had hopes for Bellator being like SF 2.0 but yeah it's usually just bad. I stopped watching entire cards after a battled through an uneventful card only for it to end in a nut shut stoppage. Weber Almeida usually is entertaining. ONE Championship has some great cards. LFA is usually a solid watch. ----Jay Glazer and BJM don't help....Wish Lima would go the UFC org but they likely pay and treat their elite fighters very well. So I don't see it happening.

Yeah, and I forgot all about that commentary. It’s horrible, and just makes the whole thing that much worse.

Hooker might be the worst matchup for Chandler in the top 5 except maybe Aloe Vera

I dont see Chandler winning this. Hooker is very crafty fighting off TDs and could very well KO him with a knee or kick coming in

and most importantly Dan is a 3 round fighter. He most likely edges Dustin if that fight was 3 rounds. He just has a bad gas tank

But does he have a bad gas tank or just throws too much volume. I mean it's a fair question. I think he has a solid 4 rounds in him. Also just rewatched that fight. Gotta admit the pace was crazy. Hooker needs to stop eating elbows while exiting the clinch.

Your right and that's why I usually stay off these threads/don't post...All the knee-jerk reactions.

I still think it's a great addition to UFC 257.
Yeah it’s definitely a great fight both Chandler and Hooker bring it. Great litmus for Chandler since Hooker is a dude that’s going to beat most people ranked 8-15 imo

Hooker is pretty trash imo, wouldn't be ranked if he wasn't on the best current team in MMA. Chandler is a 35 year old manlet that couldn't cut it in Bellator though so I'll go with hooker.

I think Hooker vs picks him apart from the outside with 1-2s & different kicks. At some point Chandler will close the distance too predictably, perhaps to throw his rear-hand to the body, but he'll eat a deadly step-in knee instead.

I think that step-in knee is Dan's sneakiest best weapon, should well against the modern day muscle shark.

This is exactly how I see the fight going, too. Hooker via KO/TKO landing something as Chandler tries closing the gap.

Easy easy win for Hooker.
One of the worst match ups for Chandler.

Hooker is huge, great chin, great take down defense, good cardio, and is a far superior striker.
I don't see any way Chandler wins other than a punchers chance
