Racially you would say mestizo not Mexican.
Cejudo is American but full mexican racially
Nope
Invest in? What do you mean? Like, human trafficking?
In seriousness, though... I still say it's going to be another generation of MMA (2030?) to really break through the "grappling is homo" machismo. Especially from a dominant boxing culture.
The U.S. may have loved boxing for decades, but high schools across the country have also been wrestling for decades. It's a tough nut to crack. There has been headway because of some Mexican descent popular fighters (Cain, Pettis, etc.) but it seems Western Africa is making more headway than Mexico.
Africa has a way bigger population than Mexico. How does mexico have more fighter talent?Africa has 3 champs but really though who else? There isnt a strong pipeline coming or a history of them building fighters but I think in time you will see some more guys from there for sure.
But if we are talking about just raw numbers there is way more Mexican fighter talent than African fighters. Hence why I am saying they are going to run the lighter divisons(have a bunch of fighters in top 10/some champs)
As you said the toughest thing will be the Wrestling portion but if a guy like Brandon can figure it without no real background in it. Then Its not a stretch to see other Mexican figuring it out. Mix that in with some natural boxing talent and you get some damn good fighters
Honestly, the Aztec thing is a bit played out, especially among more European Mexicans or Mexican-Americans who seem to boast the loudest about it.
I can understand if it's a guy who looks like Moreno with more obvious native characteristics.
/sidetrack lol
The hell are you talking about? Are you emplying that if everyone forgot about their anscestries they wouod all become the same race? The fukAmericans can’t understand because America isn’t a real nation of united people. That’s why they still identify with their old races of Irish, German, etc

I guess he was talking about right now... Don't know if that is true though. There is an african dude by card nowadaysAfrica has a way bigger population than Mexico. How does mexico have more fighter talent?
You act like it's so simple to just convince all the Mexican boxers to lay down their boxing gloves and start training MMA. You could say the same about any boxing country really. How about we convince all the black American boxers to stop boxing and start doing MMA. Or the Japanese, the Ukrainians, the Brits, etcActive fighters ya goof. Mexico has a ton of quality boxers that can be converted to mma.
I don't see mexico embracing the sport of MMA any time soon and the best boxers from Mexico are usually 135 and below. There's only 2 weight classes that fit that criteria in the UFC. I could see more Mexican Americans being elite in MMA than actual Mexicans. Even in boxing your starting to see a lot more successful Mexican Americans who typically compete at weight classes a bit higher
Well... You're wrong. What happens in america from my perspective as an outsider is that "an american ethnicity" is quite vague but still they do on theory form an ethnicity... People wouodn't become one same race if they forgot about where their anscestors come from though, cause people wouold still have eyes and notice that people are different dudeBasically yeah. I mean blacks in America still call themselves African... America is not a real country
Soccer, boxing, migrant work force, Drug Cartels and supplying the U.S. with lots of produce. And some damn good cuisine. Love some Mexican and/or American Southwest inspired grub.Mexico is soccer/boxing
Pure European Mexicans are not really a thing lol. Majority of Mexicans have Native heritage, even the light skin looking ones with colored eyes. They have done genetic studies and most Mexicans are at least half Native American. In certain regions you have some that are more European but even they usually will have a good portion of Native ancestry as well (the Spanish had a strong fetish for Native women not even joking lol)
Doesn't really matter where you train at. Canelo does most of his training in the us nowadays but he's still Mexican, no one says otherwise. I don't think people try to question if Francis is a real African either, mainly people just have a problem with Usman and adesanya because people view them as too westernized to be real africansAre there any African fighters from actual gyms in Africa though? All of them are immigrants. Brandon is interesting because he actually still lives and trains in Tijuana. Native talent is the goal here.
