Who's going to pay for the "documentation". If you document them, you entitle them to benefits, insurance etc. etc. this will cost employers $$$. Money they can easily offer already eligible to work immigrants & citizens without the hassle of "documentation". we can do this all dayDocument the workers, punish the businesses, deport the rest.

Canada is not as populated as US...apples to orange...Again, some industries do require immigrants to do so.
Thats why Canada flies planes filled with Mexicans every harvest season to work in their fields.

They do, but you're putting most of the burden to them? you're not punishing illegals who cross the border and instead reward them? what the fuck is wrong with you?The businesses that employ illegal workers.
They deserve to be punished, don't you agree?

Aren't you British? We've given out amnesty to illegals multiple times in the past. We're doing just fine.
Oh so it's ok to spot an illegal, instead of deporting them reward them with legal papers despite the fact they went in the country illegally? Do you know what pile of shit you're brewing with this logic? It's ok to cross the border illegally and when you get caught, you will have your expedited green card. Businesses exploit this kind of shit because there is illegals a.k.a. cheap labor to be had...It's like saying go after the users and reward the pushers...Reward them how? they dont get benefits, they simply work their asses off because people are hiring them.
Its far easier to go against business operations that have a permanent address than trying to pick up illegals.
Why can't they work back home and make their economy better?Mexicans just want to work and improve their own conditions.

who's providing the product and who's buying it?How do you feel about our ancestors having enacted multiple amnesty programs for illegal immigrants over the past 200 years which allowed hundreds of thousands of illegals to become citizens?
The businesses are the dealers in your analogy, not the users.
You know US will actually document a skilled worker from a foreign land if he meets the criteria. Non of this illegals are ok bullshit. My neighbor was documented as a nurse because we don't have a lot of nurses. skilled workers can be documented if they go through the process. There is a process. No shortcuts. shortcuts are illegal and should be punishable just like someone is jaywalking...because he's too lazy to cross the street where he's suppose to.The jobs are here, not there. You see, the thing about farming is it's highly geographical. The crops that grow here can't grow there nor can they grow on that scale. Our agriculture techniques are also much more advanced that we produce an incredible volume of produce.
We also don't have skilled farmhands in the states anymore, they're absolutely vital to our agriculture industry.
Georgia tried getting rid of their illegal workers a few years back and they lost hundreds of millions due to lack of skilled workers to harvest the crops on time.
This isn't just ditch digging, it is hard manual labor, but it also requires specialized skillsets and experience to harvest our crops before they start rotting. We don't have the ability to replace these people overnight. Flat out removing them all will do more harm than good.
