I might have to send stuff to RSK to have him paint it for me, lol

Juan sent me these pics today, they will ship out tomorrow. Going out of town/vacation for basically 12 days, so maybe they will be here when I get back home. I'm excited. Might have to get more gear in the black/yellow theme

Wheres the scarlet and gold gloves motha f#$@er?! :icon_chee

I didn't want to make a new thread for this, but I wanted to ask any Cleto Reyes owners.. Is it okay to hit the heavy bag in Cletos? I've been told that the gloves will "lose shape" if you hit the bag with them. I'm young and I have no knuckle problems at all, so I don't need pillows to hit the heavy bag. I have seen top pros (lucas matthyse most recently) using Cletos on the heavy bag. Will it ruin my gloves quickly? Thanks

The Reyes will be perfect. Remeber I said I wouldnt have sold them if they were the correct weight. I wasnt bullshiting. The Reyes will last years if you take minimal care of them. Fight gloves will wear out sooner. Thats the gloves that gets the "heavy hitter" rep and padding wearing out..(because there really isnt any padding on the classic pro fight glove :icon_lol: )

Would you actually be cool with doing that for people?

Probably not. between the cost of shipping and the time and effort that goes in painting a glove. It wouldn't be worth it to me or the person who wanted it done.

Just purchased these off of eBay. They are mainly for decorative purposes in my "office" at the house but I should get some double end bag usage out of them. Always wanted a "Hecho en Mexico" labeled pair of Reyes.

Anybody got info on the new Reyes gloves the E300, lace and velcro hybrid. they say theyre cut in a different pattern, i like reyes but the fit feels awkward for me. any info is appreciated.

I think KShaft had them, he said he liked them, but that the weight was way off.

StRato, thanks. They should be waiting for me when I get back from vaca, hopefully my boxeos are not far behind.

Yeah hopefully man, i hope they didnt turn out like clamps did.

Well I dont know if they are the same. I got those in 2008-2009. I think those other ones are a new cut or something. Reyes dont fit me perfectly so I have trouble with them. They are made so damn nice, but it dont matter if you cant get a good fist or the padding doesnt protect you or if they are too heavy.

No, it is not going to change much. You can cut the thumb attachment though, some people do it and it really helps.

Yep i never cut thumblocks off, i just try to soften up the thimb as best as possible.
