Has anyone else played these two games, Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light? (Redux is a remastered version with both games.)
I just finished Metro 2033 and was really impressed. I was also amazed at how much it reminded me of The Last of Us. Same genre and similar gameplay but much bleaker, imo. This was obviously a big inspiration to Naughty Dog when they made TLOU. The atmosphere and tension throughout really stick with you and the ending was one of the strangest and most original I've ever seen in a game.
Can't wait to jump into Metro Last Light and see if they managed to continue the experience. While the first game was based on a novel by Dmitry Glukhovsky about the Moscow underground following nuclear war, the sequel has original writing so recreating the same mood might have been difficult.
