After Merab's boring performance against Sean, I was rooting against him. But his cardio is special, I didn't think he had a chance in hell against Umar.

They were all on something, 100% agreed.

However, if you read about it, Lance had the best scientist/Dr. and later had the most money to spend on doping. He was doing shit to a level that nobody else was.
Some people are also hyper responders to PEDs. Look at Overeem compared to Josh Barnett.

In MMA I'd argue that the level/sophistication of doping is probably very uneven since you have guys coming from all over the place and some are getting paid $1m/fight, some $15k.

It's a harsh drug to be on. The reason TJ Dillashaw was doing all those cringe things like throwing pads on airplanes and on luggage conveyor belts was so he could keep his blood flow going and it not turn into jell-o while he was stationery. The Tour de France guys set alarms to wake them up in the middle of the night just so they can get on treadmills to keep their blood flowing and not clot out.
