Says that UFC offered him the rematch in April in Miami but he delayed the fight solely so he could give Sean more time to recover from surgery. Doesn’t want any excuses on O’Malleys end and didn’t want to fight him so soon after Sean’s surgery so he can get the best version of Sean. Unreal.

All he has to do is look forward to rematches, the guy can retire now and he will be declared the goat decision machine.

So they give him choices for dates and he wanted more time for O'Malley, yet when he found out Umar had been out with a broken hand and wasn't able to train, he was in Dana's office within days to demand the fight like 6 weeks later.

Unless O'Malley has made crazy TDD improvement, he's likely getting violated on the ground and fence again.

Merab is just smothering and relentless.

Sean KOs him this time. Merab isn’t a KO or sub threat and I think Sean will probably be able to make the adjustments to stay on the feet long enough to do good damage and win rounds.

Merab is going to be in for a huge surprise when O'Malley comes well-armed!

Is that true?

Yep. Dana said Umar was next after he beat Sandhagen, and Merab won the title the next month and was asked about it in the press conference and following weeks and he kept avoiding it and saying he wanted to take time off, then said Umar beating #2 isn't good enough and wanted a rematch with O'Malley, then was pushing for a rematch with Yan, and Umar said he didn't want to wait around and was talking about fighting Yadong Song in January, then tweeted at the end of November that he wasn't able to fight in January because he had a broken hand(he actually said arm because it's the same word in Russian) and wasn't able to train or have a full camp, and like 3 days later Dana said merab came into his office and demanded the fight with Umar for like 6 weeks later, and hey surprise, Umar broke his hand again a few minutes into the fight and gassed halfway through.

Hope Sean wins. Don't want a 5 round cardio king as Champion, much rather have someone with finishing ability.
