So we've all ended up overlooking a vast expanse of power-towers or telephone towers (i honestly don't know what they are called) sitting upon sunny grass fields (depending on what time of the year it is) in a linear array as far as the eye can see. And then that urge to climb has set in, but no one climbs to the top the first time, because frankly, we're scared to.

Even though one knows they have more than enough juice to handle the feat, it is our fear and mental insecurities that prevents us from climbing higher. Its sort of hardwired into us that we "get down from there!". Anybody have an tips?

Watch out for your cornhole bud

I climbed...bigger towers. Use your legs, they have muscles too. Trust your meat hooks, they don't give. Do not put blind faith in your gear. Great sunsets. Smoking a jay at 500+ is liberating. Scream if you drop something and someone's on the ground. Vice versa, if someone drops something stand as close to the tower as possible. Peeing off a tower is a must. Do not put blind faith in your gear. Do not put blind faith in your gear

Telecommunication towers are what I climbed...they're the big ones for cell phone companies. Get a nice positioning lanyard...you won't regret it. Never use the safety climb...hook off...100%!

Did you worry about others seeing the climb and freaking out?

Nope, it was my job...and if you're wearing a double-leg and a hard hat nobody will think twice about it. If you're going to do it you'll need a double leg with a seat. If you need some good excuses in case you get busted, lol, message me before you go, and tell me what type of tower it is. I'll think of something that'll work.

Don't just start climbing one. Gonna suck when you get up a couple hundred feet when you realize your muscles are shot and you're pissing yourself. Double leg with Y lanyards and a good positioning lanyard for your seat, you'll be safe. Heck, you might be able to find a decent job if you acquire the gear

^^^monopole. Not a fan, there's not much to hook off to. Those climbing pegs should never be used to secure yourself unless you have no other options. They bend and break fairly easy

Stick with the typical guy tower TS.

Yea i don't plan on climbing what ever that was

Don't look down. derp.

get a parachute.

Lol, oh shit. You'll get caught climbing that little thing. Stick to a guy tower. Once you get to the top nobody will ever notice you. You see EVERYHING. Plus, the torque arms make a nice place to sit.

You don't need any gear to climb one of those, just don't get electrocuted.
