I am not shure if this is allowed to be discussed, but i guess it is...well, here it goes

Any of you guys who have experienced using testosterone (cycling) to put on muscle mass or enhancing performance have ever noticed any MENTAL side effects? Agressiveness, paranoia, mood swings, depression, etc etc etc...?

and also, do you have any history of said mental condition?

If you want to use hormones legally, seek out an anti aging specialist. They can advise you of all the risks. Nobody here is qualified to give professional psych advice to you about altering your endocrine system with exogenous hormones.

Anti aging specialist will have you on T faster than you can say, 'Please don't stick that needle in my butt'..........as for Roid rage, it's a bit of a myth, your more likely to have mood swings if you don't do a good PCT.

im already on TRT.

im asking about using testosterone and the mental side effects if there is one.I want to know about depression, paranoia, these kind of stuff.

and i mean abuse like peaking T levels at steroid abuse level and not therapeutic levels only

I dont intend to use sherdog as a reliable source of advice, i just want to collect people experiences. I wont stick a needle on my butt just because some sherdogger said its ok. For gay jesus, i just want people to tell their experiences, so i can get a feedback...

about mood swings post cycle...what is that about? i heard some people say its because the person will be like " oh my god, im losing my gains, where is it, omg". Is that it?

for gay jesus, its not a sin to talk about testosterone use...people be like: "thats serious stuff man, go talk to a doctor, yada yada"

How old are you?

Are you using it because you had a low testosterone blood level or for sport performance?

i am 32.
diagnosed with type 2 hipogonadism due to medication prescribed by psychiatrist. Cant stop taking my meds. The solution was to use exogenous T.

Do you have experience cycling T? Ive done a little research and it seems it does affect mental health when levels are supra

The only thing that rely does that is tren. The shit is crazy. Brings out the inner nut case. Especially if you are prone to depression. Go to so bb forums and search about tren mental health

If I can ask:

1) What meds are you taking right now? How long are you taking them?

2) Which is the diagnosis of your psychiatrist?

4) Are you 100% sure hypogonadism was caused by meds prescribed by your psychiatrist?

3) Did an endocrinologist prescribed to you exstrogenous T? He is following you right now?

lol, yeah dude, im totaly under supervision, im ok, not doing anything by my own...but ok, let me answer this:

1) amissulpride and clonazepan since start of 2013. first one is antipsichotic and the second one is a benzo i use for sleeping.

2)i was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia at the age 18, more or less, and i still am and forever will be...well...schizophrenic.

3)i am 100% sure. i had all exams done. all other possibilities excluded. I was fine until started taking amissulpride. It is a side effect. I had been examined for all other possibilities, brain tumors, lifestyle, and etc etc. What happened to me was hiperprolactnemy (super high levels of prolactin) due to the antipsychotic medication. As a result of this condition my Testosterone production was very very low. I had all symptoms of hipogonadism. Yes, a very good doctor was taking care of me. Secondary hipogonadism caused by drug administration, that drug being amissulpride.

4) yes, my doctor was an endocrinologist. She prescribed me exogenous T. The only other way i could treat my hiperprolactenmia (and get my T back) was by using another medication BUT....they all fit in the dopamine agonist categorie, wich means that they work EXACTLY the opposite of my anti-psichotic medication. So, if toook meds to lower prolactin i could go crazy.

thats it, i hope i made myself clear.

Ok, you are with doctors... unfortunately many many many people do take hormones and drugs reading on forum or on the web.

Therapeutic cycles precribed by doctors are nothing in comparison of what people take in the gyms. Doctors try to make your T in the normal range, people in the gym tries cocktails of drugs to go a lot over normal range, then they are more suitable to side effects...

Anyway don’t exist meds wihout side effects.

You are member of a MMA forum, do you play sport?

I lift weights since about a decade ago. From 2013 to now i changed from bro-splits to powerlifts (squat, deads and bench & pull ups chin ups and presses). I started BJJ last year i am still a white belt. I also flert with boxing.

by the time i first loggd in sherdog i was practincg krav maga

Seems strange that a schizophrenic person plays sport...... you are also able to write well. Schizophrenic means brain doesn’t work...

You said that you get crazy if you don’t take meds. Did you try that? What happened?

schizophrenic doesnt mean "brain doesnt work". Schizophrenia is a range of symptoms wich can vary a lot including how deep it can affect one person life. There are a few different types of schizphrenia also.

There is some very famous people who are "legit" schizophrenics and still very functional. Search on google for John Nash or Elyn Saks.

Me for example. I have difficulty in some aspects of daily life. One thing i can manage to do is isolating myself from certain surrounding and beating my body with exercise. Believe me its one of the few things i can do.

i tried not taking meds. i stopped taking them by myself at a time when i did not know what being shizophrenic meant. I ended up in a institution for a month.Totaly lunatic.Untill i got hospitalized.

how much more do you want to know? you kinda curious arent ya?

I’m not courious for myself, just trying to help.

Tyson when he was a child was considered retarded and they gave him meds too. Bobby Stewart brang him out of there...

I don’t know your story, i’m Just trying to help. I take meds only if is strictly necessary. One time when I was 17 I had a motorbike crash with a car, I had one bone broken that was also displaced and outside. In the hospital they couldn’t send me to surgery during night but the day after. During night indeed didn’t sleep but I didn’t ask any pain pills. But that’s me.

Anyway, last time I had flu was 10 years ago. But I do take care a lot of my health.

In my opinion most (but not alll!) of the doctors are a bunch of idiots, they give meds like candies and there is a big interest for big pharma.... is business...

Anyway you are taking meds since you were 18 years old, for side effects you need others meds, then you will need other meds for other side effects. Getting older you always need more meds. You are a top costumer for health care companies and big pharma.

I would suggest you trying to seek other doctors opinions, if you want: https://www.drperlmutter.com/

Choice is yours, not mine. I have T blood level that is naturally over the range.

right.
you really dont seem to have a clue about schizophrenia anyways. Trying to compare with a broken bone or a flu...

but i understand you are trying to help. its ok.

Its not like some pain i can manage to cope for a couple of hours inside a hospital waiting for surgery...
its not like choosing to wait for a flu to go away...
...and its not like i want to help big pharma company get rich. OR if i didnt know that they only seek profit instead of cure.

If you are curious.... its like when television starts to talk to you, people on the streets start talking about you, you start to believe you are being followed, you may believe the fucking MOSSAD is listening your phone line...OR you may start to believe there is a huge conspiracy against you envolving the goverment, your parents and your BJJ instructor....not only you are damn SURE about it but you start to SEE small signs that MEAN stuff... this is what is like to be schizophrenic for me, thats MY level of insanity. I CANNOT choose NOT to take my meds.

People like me who believe the meds are bad because of this or that can end up pretty bad....i know about a guy who throw himself on the subway line because voices told him so. The guy lost a leg.

Actually, despite popular belief that schizophrenics can be potentialy violent and hurt other people IT IS KNOWN for a fact that it is MUCH more commom to people with schizophrenia to SUFFER agression or killing themselves....number of schizophrenic people who kill themselves is very high.

imagine yourself in a scenario where not only you are sure you are the target of a conspiracy by your own family but you also hear voices and feel very scared of everything.

If there is an emotion i can remember feeling all the time when i was sick it was FEAR...like shaking hands and stuff...

SO.....

im sorry about your motorbike accident but i would rather crash my motorbike 10x than being fucking schizphrenic... :-/ and i know you cannot relate to that.

anyway thanks for your time, brother.

Motorbike crash wasn’t so bad bone was repaired with titanium and it’s like new!

I perfectly know what are schizophrenic symptoms, I told you brain” doesn’t work”. didn’t know you had such severe ones. That’s why I asked.

There are people who are not schizophrenic and can do much worse than you, like with drug addiction.... they can do much worse than you, they can get mad, violent, and kill....

Anyway I didn’t tell not to take meds. If I get a strong flu I take antibiotics I’m not an idiot! When I had motorbike crash I took antibiotics because risk could be gangrenous of my bones because was outside... pain pills were just not necessary.

Have you checked the website of the doctor I linked. Do you know what are the causes of your brain issues? Or did your doctors tried to find out them? Or just said “it’s genetic”?

For Perlmutter can be a lot of causes like leaky gut, B12 vitamin deficency, celiac disiease etc... all pieces of body are linked. Gut is now consider our second brain, that is not “bro science”, is science. You are looking for a medical opinions regarding steroids you can ask to other doctors too..

Perlmutter is a neurologist, he said he cured people with schizophrenia disorder.

hey my friend i thank you for trying to help

but there is no cure for schizophrenia.

believe me im into this shit, my doctors are fucking good, they never heard about cure for schizophrenia...because...there is no cure. You can control the symptoms taking meds for life, but if you stop...youre fucked...

i thank you for your good intentions but this website has nothing to add to me.

but i am still going to visit other doctors to get advice on juicing.

schizophrenia is a problem that i consider solved UNTIL something happens....its like this. There is no cure. Someone who says they have a cure for schizophrenia is a charlatan.....right now, at the moment, current science, current studies, actual fucking last technology science found no cure for schizophrenia...yet.

Thread title says, "abuse".

I don't know if this on topic exactly but in my experience athletes who abuse PEDs are much more likely to be substance abusers (alcohol and drugs) when they retire, than clean athletes.

One other quirky thing I've seen is that athlete PED abusers also often get involved in fraud and other crime after retirement. I think the reasons are kind of obvious. And no I'm not trolling.
