It is an embarrassing time to be an American. History will look back on us and laugh.

I guess I have to give most people the benefit of the doubt. Most people work and live their life and don't pay any mind to the ridiculous goings on. Although, if that remains to be the case, the responsibility of how things proceed becomes theirs.

Also, mass media, television, radio, internet etc. are new phenomena and people haven't developed the immunity to them yet. As far as we know there's been nothing like them in history, so it begs to reason that there would be some growing pains. On top of that, for most of American history, people were sheltered from any sort of division, exploitation, or subversion.

Most people haven't figured out these things are used for nefarious purposes and have been from the start. It's why the here and now is so important. We get to influence whether or not things continue on as is or if this is just a bump in the road. If we play our cards right, even the most sophisticated propaganda and political agitation could be seen through by the average person like a pyramid scheme, swampland in Florida, or an email from a Nigerian prince.

I like to think that was a case of what was left of her soul trying to escape it's hollowed shell. It's like the essence of humanity flooded to the surface for a brief moment, and all Hilary could do was display pure glee, then crush it back down.
