Electric cars are volatile in accidents, are not better for the environment, are less efficient when dealing with temperature extremes, lack the infrastructure to make them a viable option to combustion vehicles. They take longer "fill", will cost more to charge the vehicle because of demand on the grid at the same time everyone else is doing 9-5 work. They have a limited battery lifespan, plus all the electronic backends that allow the manufacturer to dictate to you how you use and what you continue to pay for features on your property.
